"Ain't
Chu
at
Curt
Talley"?
My
first
thought
was
"No
but
people
tell
me I
look
like
him"
but
I
turned
and
said
"yes
sir".
"I
told
Irene,
that
at
wus
you.
Boy,
we
been
prayin
fer
ye.
How
ye
doin"?
I
grinned
and
said,
"I'm
doing
just
fine
sir,
how
are
you?"
He
was
an
older
man,
kinda
unkept
looking.
In
desperate
need
of a
haircut
and
a
shave.
He
preceded
to
tell
me
that
he
was
the
pastor
of
the
___________
___________
____________
__________
___________
(
yes
five
names)
Baptist
Church
and
that
his
church
had
prayed
for
me
and
how
glad
he
was
to
see
me.
"Are
you
working
here?"
after
he
saw
my
name
tag.
I
told
him
that
I
did
indeed
work
at
Belks.
We
talked
for
a
few
minutes
and
Irene
wanted
to
leave
so
they
soon
left
the
sales
floor.
About
two
hours
later,
they
returned.
"I
wanted
to
come
back
and
pray
with
ye,
cause
I
saw
you
wuz
limpin".
I
explained
that
I
had
hurt
my
back.
So
right
there
between
two
rows
of
suits
and
sport
jackets,
this
man
grabbed
me,
threw
his
arms
around
my
neck
and
began
to
pray.
LOUDLY.
I
opened
one
eye
to
see
if
my
manager
was
standing
nearby.
He
wasn't,
so I
went
back
to
praying
with
him.
I
thanked
him
and
he
went
on
his
way.
But
right
before
he
walked
away,
he
turned
around
and
said
"Don't
you
let
all
these
yaehoos
get
you
down".
I
grinned
and
said
"I
won't
sir".
The
sales
associate
that
was
working
with
me
said
"who's
that?"
I
just
smiled
and
said
"an
angel".
That
man
was
the
encouragement
I
needed
that
day.
So
many
of
you
have
been
great
encouragements
during
this
Christmas
Season.
Thank
you
so
much
for
all
the
cards
and
gifts
that
you
sent
to
the
office!
If I
eat
all
the
chocolate,
I am
going
to
be
bigger
than
a
barn!
But
its
been
fun
eating
a
lot
of
different
sweets!
The
pumpkin
cheesecake
and
strawberry
swirl
cheesecake
were
two
of
the
best
cheesecakes
I
have
ever
eaten!
Oh
my!
I
got
home
from
work
that
afternoon
and
let
Pootie
and
Bosco
out
of
the
garage.
I
had
planned
to
go
exchange
gifts
with
my
best
friend
and
his
family
that
night,
so I
left
the
car
door
open
and
I
ran
in
the
house
to
change
clothes.
Pootie
and
Bosco
were
playing
in
the
yard
after
an
afternoon
of
being
in
the
garage.
I
was
back
in
my
bedroom
closet
changing
clothes
when
I
heard
them
run
down
the
hall.
They
both
jumped
up
on
the
bed
and
began
to
wallow
in
the
pillows
and
play
and
jump
just
like
they
have
done
many
times
before.
All
of a
sudden
...it
hit
me!
One
of
them
had
met
a
skunk!
I
panicked.
Oh
my
gosh,
what
was
I
going
to
do.
I
grabbed
them
both
and
ran
them
to
the
garage.
I
could
smell
skunk
all
over
the
house,
in
the
garage
too.
I
quickly
shut
the
garage
door
and
ran
back
thru
the
house
to
light
candles
and
open
the
windows
to
try
and
get
rid
of
the
odor.
I
knew
I
was
supposed
to
be
at
Ricks
momentarily
so I
decided
to
go
to
their
house
and
deal
with
it
all
later.
When
I
went
outside
to
get
in
the
car,
I
quickly
realized
that
evidently
the
dogs
had
jumped
in
the
car
BEFORE
they
came
in
the
house!
Now
the
car
reeked
of
skunk.
All
the
way
to
Ricks
house,
I
coughed
and
gagged.
I
got
to
Ricks
door,
walked
in
and
right
away,
Rick
said
,
"Oh
my
gosh,
you
stink".
Needless
to
say,
I
didn't
stay
long.
My
clothes
had
absorbed
the
skunk
from
the
car,
so
now
I
was
stinking
pretty
badly!
We
quickly
exchanged
gifts
and
I
headed
to
the
grocery
store!
I
was
standing
in
line
with
my
tomato
juice
and
my
vinegar
when
the
lady
behind
the
counter
said
"There's
a
skunk
somewhere".
The
man
in
front
of
me
turned
and
looked
at
me!
I
just
said
"I
smell
it
too!"
As
soon
as I
got
back
home,
I
threw
both
dogs
in
the
bathtub,
covered
them
in
tomato
juice
and
vinegar,
and
scrubbed
and
scrubbed
them.
I
sliced
a
potato
and
put
that
in
Vanilla
extract
and
put
one
pan
in
my
car
floorboard,
and
one
pan
in
the
kitchen.
I
was
up
all
night
washing
sheets,
my
clothes,
anything
that
could
be
washed,
it
was
washed
that
night!
.
About
2 am
, I
decided
I
had
to
go
to
bed,
smell
or
no
smell.
The
next
morning,
I
awoke,
showered
and
went
to
work.
When
I
got
back
to
Belks,
that
same
sales
associate
said
"Do
you
smell
a
skunk?"
I
guess
it
was
still
on
my
hands!
I
told
him
the
story
and
his
response
was
"You
need
that
man
that
was
an
angel"!
I
laughed
and
said
"I
guess
I
do"
I am
off
this
weekend
to
Winnipeg
Manitoba
Canada.
I
have
never
been
there
but
I am
looking
forward
to
the
New
Years
Eve
Service
there.
If
there
are
any
Krew
members
up
in
that
area,
I
hope
you
will
come
and
say
hello.
It
will
be
good
to
see
a
friendly
face!

Many
of
you
have
inquired
about
my
back
problems.
I
have
an
appointment
with
a
Neurosurgeon
and
Spine
Consultant
on
January
4. I
will
take
the
MRI
film
and
see
what
he
recommends.
Please
be
praying
that
I
won't
have
to
have
surgery!
Also,
please
pray
for
the
sale
of
the
Autolube
and
pray
for
my
Mom's
health.
Mom
still
knows
us (
most
of
the
time)
she
still
laughs
and
has
a
great
attitude
about
having
alzheimers.
But
she
is
declining,
and
so
we
would
appreciate
your
prayers
for
her.
Thanks
so
much
for
your
support
and
your
prayers.
I
hope
to
see
each
of
you
sometime
soon
in
person.
