MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hello Krew
I hope all the gifts are wrapped and
everything is ready for Christmas. What a great time of the year. As
you know I have been working at Profitts Department Store and I have
been amazed at how people can be so nice and then so grumpy at the same
time. Yesterday I had a customer bring all their purchases from another
section in the store back to the Men's suit department. We were slammed
back there and there was a line at the cash register. This lady stood
in line for a few minutes, finally arriving at the front of the line,
but then preceded to tell me all her items were 30% off the marked
price. Since I work in the Men's Suit department, I don't know the
prices of the ladies items. I rang them up and of course they didn't
ring up according to what she said. When I told her that, she ordered
me to go see the sign for myself. I told her I couldn't go to the other
end of the store with customers waiting. I nicely suggested that she
take them to the department where she found them, that the sales clerk
there would know if the appropriate discount. "Well I've been in this
line for 10 minutes and I think YOU should go look for me". Finally I
had to say, "NO". She loudly asked for a manager. So I asked her to
step aside while the manager was coming so that I could ring up the
other customers (who were very tired of this lady's mouth). She refused
to step aside, so I just reached around her and took the next person's
items and started ringing them up. She then became LOUD with her "I hate
Christmas", and several other things I wouldn't print. Finally the
manager came and escorted her away from my area. Everyone in the line
smiled and was happy to get their purchases after that. Some of them
rolled their eyes at the lady as she left. One man walked up and said
"I refuse to let that lady ruin my Merry Christmas". I suddenly
realized that so many frustrations jump in our way to cause us to be
grumpy, but we have to keep a good "Merry Christmas" on our lips and a
song in our heart and a smile on our face.
The
Krew Christmas
party was a lot of fun. We ate a lot of good food, played a lot of
fun games and enjoyed some entertainment ( late but good) Hope's Call
came by after they sang nearby. I think they just came by for free
food! But I made them sing before they left!
Thank you all for all the Christmas Cards
and the gifts. I am amazed at how good you all are to me and I really
do appreciate it.
I will again be going up to Roger's and "Whatshernames"
again for the Christmas family meal. "Whatshername" is a great cook and
it will be good to get a home cooked meal again. I am so used to eating
out of paper or plastic or Styrofoam. I always take freezable plastic
containers for leftovers! Someone asked me what I was taking to the
family dinner. I laughed because I don't cook at all! My oven has been
on once! So I am taking. . . myself and some Christmas gifts and some
empty plastic containers!
Thank you all for being my friend this
past year. It's been a good year and I appreciate all the ways the Krew
members has been an encouragement.
Hope I see you guys and gals soon
Please continue to pray for my Mom, My
schedule and the sale of the AutoLube.
Lots of other people are in need of
prayer too. I get emailed many requests. There is much sickness and
turmoil. Please pray for all our friends who are going thru hard trials
this time of year.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
