Hello Krew
I had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I spent the day at Roger and Deb's
house. "Whatshername" cooked a great meal and it was a fun day with Mom and Dad.
After the meal, we all sat around and napped! Many of you consistently ask about
my Mom's health. She is still keeping house, still laughing a lot and she still
has a great attitude. She has trouble remembering things sometimes, but at other
times, she is sharp as a tack. Please keep her and my Dad in your prayers.
Tomorrow I will be in Gadsden, Alabama at the Choice Cafeteria. Pat Adkinson has
promoted concerts there monthly for several years. This will be his last concert
at the restaurant. So I am hoping we can send him off with a bang. Hopefully all
the Krew members in the AL area will come and be with me. The food is great
there, and hopefully the singing won't be half bad either.
Sunday Morning I will be in Charlotte NC at Wedgewood Baptist Church. I am
lookin forward to seeing some friends in the Charlotte area that I haven't seen
in a while.
Are you ready for Christmas? As you know I have been working part time at
Profitts Department Store selling Men's suits. It's interesting when someone
walks up and say's "what are you doing working here". Yesterday I had an older
couple keep circling through the suits, but they weren't really looking at
suits, they kept watching me. I never said anything to them, as I don't try to
assist a customer until they at least touch a suit. But this couple wasn't
touching any suits, they kept their eyes directed at me. After about 10 minutes,
I finally headed in their direction. "Are you finding everything ok?" "Oh yes"
she replied. Then she went on to say "Aren't you that boy that sings on the
Gaither Videos?". I told her yes, and then her reply was "Well you ought to sell
some of those guys a nice suit!" I just had to laugh! The more I thought about
that incident during the day, the funnier it became.
