Hello Krew

It's raining here in East Tennessee today. We are expecting a cold front this weekend to actually make it feel like fall. The past few days have felt like July so I am ready for sweatshirt weather!

Since it's getting cooler, it's a great time to be thinking about the Cruise to the Bahamas. April 24-28, 2006, a group of us (The Trio) will sail to the Bahamas aboard the SS Sovereign of the Seas. There will be lots of Gospel Music to hear every night, lots of great food, sightseeing, and fellowship. We have been allotted 250 rooms and the trip is filling up. Our group will not be the only group onboard ship. It's not a Christian Charter so there will be lots of other people on the boat too. So that means the bars and casino's will be open. I like to tell people that up front so no one will get on board and freak out and come yelling and screaming to me. In some places where I have announced this, the open bars and casino's are a selling point! The price for the trip is $649.00 per person (based on double occupancy) for an outside room. "Outside Room" doesn't mean you will sleep outside! It means you will have a window so you can see the beautiful scenery from your room. If you want an inside room, the price is a little cheaper, $599.00. This price includes everything except your tips. Actually I like the inside rooms better because the light don't come in and I can sleep later! All it takes is a deposit of $100.00 to get you on the list. If you don't want to drive to Cape Canaveral to catch the boat, there is a shuttle from the Orlando Airport that's available. Call Dot at the office for more info 865 933 2100.

This past weekend I was in Concord, NC at the Judah Worship Center. We had two great services and Pastor Eric and Dean Burress was so nice. Frank and Bonnie Basinger here great hosts and they welcomed me with open arms. I had never met either of them before but I feel as if I have known them all my life now. Frank is a big cut up and also in law enforcement so naturally he has lots of funny stories. He also is starting full-time ministry in the spring of next year, so please pray for him as he follows his heart in ministry. And please pray for his wife Bonnie. . . . .she has her hands full with him! www.fbministries.net

I also wanted you to update on the Knoxville Unites Hurricane Relief Concert total. At the event we raised over $42,000. We had scheduled an official presentation with one of those big checks but when the check arrived at the concert, it had the wrong date printed on it. It actually said NOV 29th so we had to postpone the actual presentation until we got the date changed on the check. So on Monday of this week, we (myself, Pastor Tony Crisp, David Stewart-minister of Music at Chilhowee Hills Bapt Church, and David Hoskins from WJBZ radio station) took the actual funds and another check to the American Red Cross. WVLT TV was there and filmed the presentation and aired it on the 6:00 pm news. The actual total was $47,150.00. Thank you all for helping with that total! Many of the Krew members sent donations to the American Red Cross and they were very very appreciative and said to thank everyone that participated.

This coming Sunday Morning I will be in Archdale, NC (Greensboro/High Point area) at Charity Baptist Church. There is info on the website. The last time I was in Archdale, we had a packed house on Sunday night so I am looking forward to being in Archdale again.

Hope you all have your copy of LIVE AT THE RIVER. I am still getting great reviews from it. If you haven't heard anything on your local radio station from this project, Call them and request it. No matter what their response is, at least they will know they have listeners that want to hear it!

I am still considering the Thanksgiving weekend Krew get-together/ Sanders Family Christmas play/Christmas party. I was waiting to see if I got booked that weekend and right now it don't look like I have anything, so I will let you know about that in a week or so.

Please pray that the calendar will fill up with dates. There are lots of holes in the schedule I would love to fill.

Thanks so much

Kapt Kirk
