I am sitting in the Dallas airport having an early lunch. Harlon's BBQ is a great place to wait for your plane to leave! I have just finished the meal of the week! BBQ Brisket with Corn on the Cob and Green Beans! I love fresh corn! Anyway its fixed, cream style, whole kernel, Corn on the Cob, I love cream style corn in Corn Bread! If I ever have a garden, you can bet I will grow some corn!

Last night I taped a LIFE TODAY program with James and Betty Robison. They were very gracious and kind and encouraging to me. I shared a condensed version of my testimony, (very difficult to do) and I hope and pray that God will use the program to encourage people in their relationship with Christ. After the show, I sang "Judge Not" and "Intimacy With Jesus" that will be inserted in later shows. It was great to see some Krew members with their Kirks Krew buttons on! Thank you all for coming to the taping! Lot's of you have asked when the show will be on TV. I was told that it will be the last weekend of October. Not sure when the show airs on which networks, so watch your local listing for show times.

It was a privilege to meet Stephen Baldwin and his wife, Kennya. Stephen is a movie star, one of the famous Baldwin Brothers. Stephen is a born again Christian who is starting a new ministry next year that will deal with extreme sports with a Gospel Message. He has also written a book called "The Unusual Suspect". It was also a real experience meeting Phil Vischour, the man who created Vegitales. Talk about a character! As we all shared a meal together, he cracked us all up, doing different voices of his characters! At one point Stephen handed Phil his cell phone and had him (Phil) talk to his ( Stephen's) little girl. Naturally she was thrilled to talk to all her favorite characters on the phone.

I will have pictures on the website soon from the taping. I don't have the best luck with cameras. When I took my camera out of my duffle bag, naturally it wouldn't even power up so, the photographer from the show offered to send me copies so that I can post some on my website. Hopefully I will have those from her before long.

I hope to see some of you this weekend. Friday in Louisville KY at the Diamond Awards. I am honored that they would ask me to sing "The Potters Hand" in the awards program. It's up for Song of The Year in those awards. I am nominated in several categories but certainly don't expect to win anything since I have been out of the mainstream for several years. Still its nice to be nominated. I hope to see a lot of old friends there on Friday.

Saturday and Sunday I will be in Bloomington IN at the Grace Baptist Temple, 2320 North Smith Pike. I am expecting a great time there and hope you will come join me.

Last week I got an email from a Krew member who had been on the SS Inspiration, the ship we will sail on in Feb. He stated that it was the nicest of all the ships he had been on. The food was the best of all the ships he had been on, and over all, he had the best time on a cruise on the SS Inspiration that he had ever had on a cruise. That got me a little more excited about the upcoming cruise. I know there are several people who are still debating on going with us. I hope you will make your reservation soon. It's going to be a great trip. Feb 26-March 3 we will be on the SS Inspiration, visiting Cozumel and the Grand Cayman Islands. I will be singing onboard along with a couple other singers. Of course, I can't charter the entire ship, so there will be a lot of other people on board also. I hope you all will join us on this trip of a life time! Call the office for a brochure and info. 865 933 2100.
