Hello Krew
Can you believe it's this hot? Man oh man, I
have never felt the heat like this before. I am
trying to stay inside where it's cool but Pootie
loves to go out side and chase bugs and all
kinds of varmints. I hope it's cooler where you
are!
The trip to NC was very good. I enjoyed seeing a
lot of Krew Members in Maiden and Gastonia. We
had really good services in both places. There
are some pictures on the webpage of the Saturday
evening concert and the Sunday Morning Service
in Gastonia.
This past weekend, I sang in Sweetwater,
Tennessee and Knoxville, TN. Saturday nights
service was at a small Methodist Church out in
the country, a beautiful little place, and I had
a good time there. That little congregation
still sings out of the old "Red Book" that my
Dad has used all his life. I knew all the songs
that were in the book and even led the
congregation in several of those! Special Thanks
to Linda Thomas for arranging the concert on
Saturday Night. Sunday Mornings service was
great in Knoxville. Jeremy Sayne opened the
service with a solo and then I sang. We had a
lot of visitors there and it was great to see
some of my associates from Belk show up. Lisa
Koontz put it all together and I want to tell
everyone to go by and see her at Belk's,
Westtown if you are in the East Tennessee area.

TV TAPINGS
This past Monday, I was a guest on CTV in
Pittsburg PA. Dean and Mary Brown were the hosts
for the show and I gave my testimony and sang a
few songs. They had lots of call in's for prayer
and said that they would re-air the program
several times during the next few weeks. I went
from Pittsburgh to Atlanta to be a part of Nancy
Harmon's TV show. We filmed 5 shows to be aired
on the Church Network, a division of TBN. On one
of the programs, Nancy impulsively asked me if I
knew her song "I've Come Too Far." I knew it but
had never sung it, but I did that day on TV with
no rehearsal! Congratulations to Nancy on her
number #1 song, recorded by the Hoppers.

I need your help. If there are those of you who
would be willing to help promote concerts in
your area by putting out posters, taking it upon
yourself to make sure your local radio station
is contacted and is airing information, calling
people that you know, Emailing your friends
about upcoming concerts. . . . . . please email
Dot at the office,
kirksoffice@prodigy.net with your
information. We need to know names, email
addresses, physical addresses and what you are
willing to do to help. We also need you to watch
the schedule and see if there is an upcoming
concert that's close to you. If you could let us
know which concert is close to you, in advance,
we can get you promotional material to pass out
and distribute at places that allow that type of
thing. Thanks for your help with that!
Don't forget the cruise to Cozumel and The Grand
Caymen, Feb 26-March 3, 2007. People are signing
up, had a couple just this morning call to say
they were going with us. The quicker you can
decide, the better availability of rooms you
will have. For more info, call the office. 865
933 2100.
