I remember when I traveled with the Talleys, Debra would get all excited about certain cities we were going to because of the good malls that was in that city.  She always loved Houston Galleria.  I have heard her laugh many times and say she decided if she liked the city or not based on the mall!    Now before any of you start dishing Debra for that, just know that she was kidding and her love or dislike  for any particular city was not solely based on the mall, but she did like to shop.

I have learned to like/dislike certain cities by several factors. But one of those factors is the eating places!   I know I talk about those a lot okaces in my newsletters but if you stop and think about it,  Christian people fellowship and that usually means we eat together. So therefore I decide if I have liked a trip or not based on several factors, one of those being where I got to eat!

I have my favorite places and last week,  I think I got to hit them all except one!   I left home on Friday and drove up to Richmond IN.  On the way,  I stopped at Skyline Chili just south of Cincinnati. I had my usual -an inverted three way chili plate and two cheese coneys!   I drove on to Richmond and before going to the church to sing, I drifted over to the Cracker Barrell and had the Lemon Peppered Trout.  It's the best thing on the menu.   I sang that night at Trinity Worship Center and the folks were so nice.   All the Markum family welcomed me to their church and we had a great service.   After the service, Joyce Martin and her daughter Carol and grandson Justin took me to Steak and Shake!   If you haven't had a frisco melt and a sippable sundae, you really need to check it out!

Saturday morning,  I met Joyce and Carol and Justin for breakfast at Golden Corral for the breakfast buffet!   If you get there about 10:45 am, you can still get breakfast and then they change it over to lunch about 11:00.   Well you guessed it. . . . . .
Breakfast and lunch for the same price.... who could turn that down!    After lunch, I went by to see Justins new motorcycle and had a good ride through the country.  About 2 pm I headed to Columbus Ohio.   About dinner time,  I found a Boston Market and had their rotisserie chicken !

Sunday Morning, I sang in Pickerington Ohio at the Father House.  Pastor Brett Gleespen has been a great friend for many years and I enjoyed the service there.  After the morning service,  we headed to Skyline Chili.  Yes, once again, I had to get an inverted three way chili plate with two cheese coneys!   After saying goodbye to Brett and his family,  I headed to Akron for the Sunday night service.  I arrived just in time to set up so I didn't have time to eat anything before I sang!   So after the service, Bob and Linda Vaughn ran to Swenson and brought me a Galley Boy Burger and a California drink!

It's a wonder any of my suits fit!

This week I approved the final mix from the new Live project.  I am very very proud of it.   That mix went to manufacturing yesterday so hopefully I will have CD's on the new project by July 30th when I am in Smyrna Tenn.   DVD's will be a few weeks later.   We had to edit quite a bit of the talking out of the CD mix,  since a CD will only hold 74 minutes of data,  but the DVD will the entire concert on it.   We were able to get all the songs that was recorded that night on the CD.  I think there are 19 songs on it!   Since it was recorded on Sat night and Sunday morning, we were able to choose from performances of each song so hopefully we got the best performance!   I am sure it will strike a few people a little odd that at one point in the CD, I refer to "tonight" and then in another place I say " this morning"  but thats just something they will have to get used to.  Even on the DVD there area few flubs that I didn't even think about.  We might have a contest down the road to see how many Krew members can find the little mistakes!   And trust me,  I know that there are lots of people who love to pick apart everything I do. . . . . . . . .

We had to edit the testimony out of the CD for time purposes so I decided to make a completely seperate CD of the testimony and "Intimacy With Jesus" that will be available FREE with the purchase of the CD that has all the music on it.  And if people want extra copies of the testimony, those will be available for donation of whatever.

But it sounds great and I am so proud of it!   I hope EVERY KREW member will call the office to preorder your copy!    865 933 2100   Since there is no record company involved on this project,  that means no distribution.  If you have a favorite Christian Book Store,  let them know its available (Aug 1)  Kirk Talley  LIVE AT THE RIVER, My Story, My Song
