Hey Krew:

It's been a few weeks since I wrote to you. I have been pretty busy the last few weeks so I haven't taken the time to get my thoughts together.

On April 22 I sang at the Doyle, TN Church of the Nazarene. Cheryl Hensley arranged to have me there and it was great to see her and meet Pastor Bill Welch and the people of that church. We had a special treat when my friends in the quartet Anchored came over to be with us and sing a few song. They are a new young group and sound great!

The Cruise to the Bahamas was a great week. The weather was perfect, the food was great (see where my priorities are) the fellowship was great, the singing was pretty good too! LOL. Shane Dunlap and I sure missed Anthony Burger but we decided to go on the cruise and have a good time. We had friends from Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Indiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Massachusetts.

Each afternoon we would gather in the Voltage Disco Lounge (not sure if they have had any Southern Gospel in there or not) and sing. Several times, we had guests who were not a part of our group come in and hear the music. There are lots of pictures on the webpage www.kirktalley.com of the cruise and some of the fun things that occurred during the week. One night Shane Dunlap entered the karaoke contest ( he lost). He also showed a few of our group his dancing skills. LOLOLOLOLOL

We are planning another cruise in the spring of next year. All the details haven't been worked out yet but .....stay tuned.

From the Cruise, I drove up to Myrtle Beach for a Saturday morning service, a part of the Singing In The Sun. It was great to see so many people that I haven't seen in a while. Abraham Promotions holds a very special place in my heart. I was on the board of that organization for several years and I really believe in what they are doing, therefore it was a real treat to be a part of their program again. The Lord really blessed on Saturday morning as I sang.  After the service was over, I met so many people who were a blessing to me.

I stayed in Myrtle Beach on Saturday night. Some friends and I went to see the new Robin Williams movie called RV. It's hilarious! The next day we traveled up to Coward SC for a great service at the Bible Temple. Pastor Martin Jackson was so nice to me again. I had been there years ago and it was great to see the people at that church again . It was great to see Pete and Shirley Ward from Sumter SC again.

This past week, I worked at the store a couple of days, and then started getting ready for a yard sale!  That's right, this past Saturday I had a yard sale!  I found out that my neighbors were having one, I was going to be at home and I decided while they had run ads in the paper and put up signs, I might as well take advantage of the people that would already be turning around in my driveway! So I started rounding up stuff that I didn't use any longer. All day long, I worked that yard sale. Yard Sales are an interesting collection of people and children and prices and questions. I won't be doing those often!  At the end of the day, Pootie Puppy and I were exhausted.

Sunday, I had the opportunity to hear the Crist Family. I had never met them in person but certainly had heard their music on the radio. I heard that they were going to be singing at a local church so I decided I would go. I was so thrilled with their ministry and their story. They moved to East Tennessee from Seattle Washington to be more involved in Southern Gospel Music. There are seven singers on the stage, all family members, and all good singers.  They have some great songs and great testimonies. You should check them out and order their newest CD

After the morning service, I came home and jumped on my motorcycle and rode up to Gatlinburg. I stopped at a Mexican restaurant for some lunch and while I was there, the sky broke open and it came a downpour. It rained the entire time I was there. Finally I gave up and started home in the rain. By the time I got down to Pigeon Forge, I was so wet, there was not a dry stitch of clothing on me. Every time I lifted my left foot to change gears, the water would run from the
front of my shoe down to the back of my shoe. What an eerie feeling. I finally made it home to "wring out" my clothes and get in the dry.

Today I am running errands and trying to get ready to go to Canada on Wednesday. Pootie Puppy and I are going to visit my parents this afternoon so that will be an interesting time!

I hope to see some friends in Canada. I have four dates up there this week so I will be busy.

Thanks for ordering the Devotional Book, " A Year In The Now". Everyone really loves it. Here is an email I received from a lady that loves it.

Kirk,
Thank you so much for making the "Year In The Now"
available to us. I can't believe how it has been so
timely in my life. Every morning, it has been such a
blessing and an encouragement to my life. I have been
through some very difficult times with family members
and each morning, I have found the will power and the
determination to face another day through the
devotionals in the book. Has this pastor written
more?

Mary

If you haven't ordered your copy, you should get one. www.kirktalley.com
