Hello Krew
THIS PAST WEEKEND WAS
GREAT Friday night I was in Conyers GA. The
Miracle League sponsored the concert and they raised
thousands of dollars to provide handicapped children
with recreational opportunities. They build ball
fields and provide playground equipment for these
special children. The concert was well attended,
over 1200 people packed the First Baptist Church
Auditorium to hear great Gospel Music by The
Hoppers, Allison Speer, John Starnes, Starla Harbin
and myself. It was so good to see a lot of friends
that I haven't seen in several years. I even met a
couple of women who said they were my relatives! (pictures
on the website) It was a special honor to meet
Bishop Jim Swilley who wrote the devotional book
that I read, "A Year In The Now". I read from it
that night and the reading was perfect for the
evening. Many folks ask about that book on a
regular basis. I am trying to find some of those so
that I will be able to make those available to the
ones who have inquired.
Sunday Morning and
Evening I was in
Kinston NC at the First Pentecostal Holiness
Church. The Lord blessed in a mighty way. Sunday
morning I gave my testimony and sang. At the close
of the testimony, people started coming to the
altar. At least a dozen or more people came to
pray. Sunday night, the same thing happened. Very
annointed time of worship was experienced and I have
to thank God for his leading and guiding. Pastor
Bobby and Anne Williams treated me so nice! Bobby
and Anne has been "thru the fire" recently. Their
home burned to the ground and they lost everything
they had. Bobby wore the one suit he had on Sunday
Morning and wore the one Sports Coat that he had on
Sunday night. Their attitude was so good. Nothing
seemed to bother them. They were on cloud 9. Anne
said since the fire, she now gets to go out and buy
a new wardrobe! Of course they are waiting on the
insurance company to settle! Typical!
I spent time with
Jeff and "Roberta" Gibson. Jeff wrote "Canaanland
Is Just In Sight" and traveled with HEAVEN BOUND for
over 20 years. Jeff was always one of my best
friends and it was so good to see him. His kids
have grown up to be beautiful adults and Jeff and
Bern (that's her real name) are so proud of them!It
was great to see Alan and Jane Farmer, Roger and
Sonya Bolling and Pat and Myra Masseroni.

For the past few days
at home, I have done something I have never done
before. I have been dogsitting! My best friend
has a Jack Russell Terrier named Cupcake. Rick's
daughter, Bailey, (Pootie Ann) named the dog when
they brought it home from the Animal Shelter.
She's the most hyper dog I have ever seen. She
has run me ragged! Bailey and Max (Pootie
Earl) love this dog but it jumps up on them and
sometimes, Max, being 1 year old, don't know what to
think of it. So I have played with Cupcake (I have
named her Pootie Puppy) for the past few days and
It's been a blast! I even took her to the office a
couple of days and Dot has enjoyed her too.

have signed up to go on the Cruise to the Bahamas,
your balance must be paid by Feb 4th. There are
still rooms available for the cruise so if you want
to go with us, you can still do so. The cruise

Shane Dunlap and myself will be singing aboard ship
and we will sing and eat and sight see and have a
great time. There will be others singing too, I
don't know exactly who yet, but it will be a great
trip! If you want to go with us, call the
office 865 933 2100.
Speaking of the
TRIO, hope you are planning to join us this week in
Tyler, Texas for the trio concert at Colonial Hills
Baptist Church.
Gag216@aol.com
will have tickets if you need to reserve those in
advance.

Don't forget the next
concert in Maryville TN on March 25th. Featuring
Phil Cross and Poet Voices, First Love, Allison
Speer and myself. 7 pm. The following morning I
will be at my home church, and then after the church
service, we will be going to Crossville Tennessee to
the Cumberland County Playhouse to see "Steel
Magnolias". Tickets to that are $23 dollars but if
we get enough for a group rate, the price will drop
to $20.00. After the play, we will go to the
Cumberland Mtn State Park for the dinner buffet at
the lodge!
This is not something
that I am selling or promoting. I am not making a
penny off of this. I love going down there and I
invited some friends to go along and they loved it
and I though it would be something good for the Krew
to do together. So I hope a bunch of you sign up to
go. We will car pool from the church for the drive
to Crossville.
Some will come from
out of town so Dot has some special hotel rates
available in Maryville. Call her at 865 933 2100
for more info on that.

A man that I have
never met before has taken it upon himself to get a
few petitions going in my behalf. Here are the
links to those petitions. Check them out If you

I have had good
comments on the article in US GOSPEL NEWS paper.
Sandi Duncan Clark wrote a great article and the
paper published it and the response has been very
good. US Gospel News was happy with the results and
they asked me to write an article for the March
issue. If you subscribe to the US GOSPEL NEWS, the
article that I wrote will be called "The Miracle of
Minick". If you would like to subscribe to that
paper, call Dot at the office. 865 933 2100.
Subscription rate is $20.00 a year.

Don't forget SINGING
IN THE SUN. I will be there on Saturday morning.
Lots of folks love Myrtle Beach. So come join me at
the Convention Center. Lots of great gospel music
during the entire week, lots of great seafood, and
shopping and entertainment. Call 1-888 238-6858
for ticket info. They have also booked me on the
main stage at the Gatlinburg Gathering Sept 2. So
plan on spending Labor Day Weekend with me in
Gatlinburg!
PLEASE pray for my
mom, the sale of the Autolube and please pray for
the family of Doug Riley. Doug was the son of Tim
Riley, owner of Gold City Quartet. Doug played
drums and ran sound for the group for many years.
Doug was killed Monday night of this week in a car
accident. He will be missed by his family, friends
and fellow singers and musicians
Ok, I have to go
take Pootie Puppy outside! Yes, she's living up to
her name!
Hope to see you soon
