Hope this finds everyone happy. It's shivering cold
here in East Tennessee. I am hoping we get some
snow, but it doesn't look promising. We haven't had
a good snow in several years. I guess the little boy
in me still loves to see it fall.
I am doing good, recovering from my surgery. I went
back to the Doctor today for my first visit after
the surgery and he said I was doing good. The trip
to
Birmingham didn't do me in, so I am feeling
better and stronger every day. Still can't lift
anything over 10 pounds for a few more weeks, but I
feel good.
I have had several ask about the date in Rockwell
NC that was scheduled for this Saturday
night. Well.....that one was canceled this past
week, so If you were planning on going to
Rockwell, NC, Don't go!
Friday night I will be in Wilson NC. There are a
couple of groups on the program with me that I am
looking forward to hearing again. The Royal
Descendents are a great quartet from
NC. Denny Sutton, father of David Sutton with
Triumphant Quartet, is a great man and a real crowd
pleaser when he sings. I am looking forward to
hearing them. Also, I have heard a lot of good
things about the Oak Grove Quartet so I am anxious
to hear them also. This concert is a benefit concert
for a young man who needs a miracle. I will be
telling you more about that in the next newsletter.
If you are in driving distance of Eastern
NC, I really wish you would come and be with

We are gearing up for the cruise to Cozymul and
Grand Caymen. Dot has worked so hard and will be
getting the tickets all mailed out this week. If
there is someone that wants to go, we can still get
rooms. If you are intersted in a last minute cruise,
its gonna be great! Call the office at

If you are Gospel Music Fans, you will recognize the
name Tony Gore. He too, is a soloist, a great singer
and a phenominal cook! Tony just opened a new
restaurant here in
Sevierville. I have eaten there several times
and its one of the best places for ribs and bbq.
Actually, I would have to say the ribs are about the
best I have eaten! He has some fried pickles that
are amazing too! If you are in the East Tennessee
area, you have to stop and eat there. I am trying to
get him to call his restaurant Tony Gore's Pig
Palace but he insists on calling it Tony Gore's
Smokey Mountain BBQ and Grill. Either way, its great
food! The Oreo Chocolate Cheese cake tonight was
about wonderful! Tell him that I sent you in.
Please pray for my Mom and Dad. Mom is slowly
getting worse and this week, my Dad is having some
health issues. Also please, please, please pray for
a buyer for the Auto Lube. I can't stand much more
of this property sitting here costing me mega bucks
each month. SInce my surgery, I have had a lot of
downtime and I have caught myself laying, thinking
on what I was going to do, worst case scenario, best
case scenario, .......I will admit to you, I haven't
had the right attitude. I know I have to be more
positive and upbeat when it comes to this matter, so
I am expecting God to work this out in his own time
and plan. I get anxious though.......I want a buyer
NOW!!!! One night last week, I got to feeling sorry
for myself and then I got an email from the promoter
of the Wilson NC concert this week. He explained in
great detail, the situation with his brother. It
made me ashamed to have been concentrating so
heavily on my own problems. I know I am blessed and
highly favored. I know my steps are ordered by God.
I know everything happens for a reason. I know I am
his child and he loves me and I do believe Romans
8:28. But I know how many more months I can support
this. So I am claiming victory, a buyer for the
autolube in the next 30 days! Please pray for that
and claim that with me.
Thank you all for being my friend. Thank you for
praying for me while I was (still am) recuperating
from surgery. Thanks for all your cards and letters
during that time! I hope to see you all in the next
few weeks somewhere along the way.
