Hello Krew

 

Wanted to remind you about next weekend.  I will be in the Southeastern part of Ohio on Saturday night, in the town Franklin Furnace, Ohio.  The Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene is a favorite place of mine and Pastor Tim Throckmorton is a great guy and all the folks there are so nice.  Goldie and Faye Weddington are special friends and I look forward to seeing them as well as a lot of Krew members.

Some of you have already seen the info on the website about the cruise in January.  We haven't promoted a cruise in a couple of years.  When the economy took a downturn, we decided to wait and see what happened.  We've had several of the folks who have cruised with us before ask when we were planning another one.  Well, I am happy to say the plans have been made, the trip is booked and we are planning some exciting things.  January 28th-Feb 2, we will set sail out of Tampa FL to Grand Cayman and Cozumel aboard the Carnival Paradise.  It's an all you can eat cruise!   All the fun you can stand, concerts, and a great five days with some fun friends. 

 

I always tell people, "if you are going on a cruise, go with someone fun".  We play all kinds of games during the day.  I will sing several times during the week, and we will eat together all during the week.  Once we dock at Grand Cayman, you can enjoy the famous Seven Mile Beach, snorkel with schools of vividly colored fish and untouched expanses of coral reefs. Plenty of duty free shopping and sight seeing, including the Mayan ruins or swimming with the dolphins.  Did I mention that we eat 24/7?????

Ok, now for the dumbbutt award....Yesterday I was working at Belk.  I had a young man come into the Suit department and ask to see a certain sport jacket.  I found his size and slipped it on him.  He was unsure of the fit so I was telling him that it was a good fit...there was no collar roll, the length was right, and I showed him the the sleeves came down to the exact spot where they were supposed to.  As I was showing him the sleeve length, I noticed this big honkin ring on his hand.  It was huge.  It was much like an NFL ring that football players wear.  So I asked "what kind of ring is that?"  He replied..."It's a Nascar ring".  I said "Oh did you go to the race?"  Quietly he replied "Yeah, I won it".  I looked at him and realized who I was talkin to.  TREVOR BAYNE!!!  The winner of the Daytona 500, the youngest winner in Nascar history!  He's been on every talk show in America, every news channel, every newspaper....and I didn't recognize him.  I just thought he was some fifteen year old kid that was particular about his sports jacket!  So I apologized for not recognizing him, he laughed said it was fine....and kept calling me SIR!  And to beat it all....he didn't buy the jacket!   I guess I am slipping!

Got to go get Romeo at the Vet...He had a seizure last night....not a fun night!   Just one of the joys of being a Dog Father!
