Hello Krew,

I get emails daily to see how I am doing after the surgery, so here goes.

I thought having my adenoids out would be a pretty simple procedure. Well...it was....until the recoupment! The surgery went well...I guess....I was out of it...totally under sedation. I woke up and it was over...Now that's my kind of surgery! No Pain, no mess, BANG your 'e out...and then you wake up! PERFECT.....until the recovery started!

I was sleepy for two days...Couldn't hold my eyes open when I would sit down. I slept, the dogs slept, we all slept for two days! The information sheet regarding the after surgery symptoms that they gave me at the hospital was right on target. My throat felt thick, my ears rang, my head hurt, I had a low grade fever, my ovaries were killing me ( JOKE---Lighten up!) . But as of now, all those symptoms are over and done except for some sinus drainage, which is supposed to happen for another week or so.

On one of the days when I ventured out of the house, I went by to play with Bosco. Bosco is my friend Rick's dog, but Bosco loves me and I always take him a treat or two. On the way to see him, I had a blow out. So here I am on the side of the road, still feeling pretty lousy, trying to jack up my car to get the tire changed. Just as I had it jacked up, the car rolled just a little and fell off the jack. Now the wheel is on the ground and the car is too low for the jack to fit under! After about 30 minutes of trying, two "good old boys" stopped to help me. Their jack wouldn't fit either, so both of them just picked up the front end of my car and I slid the jack underneath. I was able to get the car jacked up and the tire changed. After they drove away, I noticed big butt prints in my fender where one of them had pushed against the fender as he was lifting! Well, the butt prints wouldn't pop out so this week, my car is in the shop getting it's butt prints removed!

Goes to show you, we leave an indention, a mark, an impression everywhere we go! The good old boys were nice enough to stop and help me. They actually invited me to their church! They left a good impression on me. (But butt prints on my car). I hope and pray I can leave a good impression on some stranger when I have the opportunity!

I sing this weekend and I am anxious to see if there is any difference in my breathing and my voice. I am claiming that there will be! Got to be positive here....This will help and I believe it!

Please continue to pray for my parents. My Mom has been back in the hospital with an ulcer, and of course my Dad has been right there with her every minute. So please keep both of them in your prayers.
