CONGRATULATIONS! ON WINNING SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR AWARD. I never had a doubt you would win. I have the faith you will win tenor and soloist of the year too. The Lord is working through you in your singing and songwriting to bring many people to Christ. Keep up the good work. I was disturbed when you didn't sing for a while, but I'm happy you are back writing, singing, and traveling giving concerts again. You are where God wants you to be, using that wonderful talent he gave you for his purpose.

CommentsWe were in Lagrange Indiana tonight for the concert and enjoyed it very much; even the "squirmers". It was a blessing to hear you singing again and I really appreciate the restaurant tips for East TN. We tried Cowboys several years ago after I saw it on your website and now eat there on every trip to the Smokies. We will be sure to go on into Dandridge for the bar-be-que also.
God Bless you and your ministry.

CommentsMy husband and I were at your concert in Goshen, IN recently. What music the Lord has given you. Serenaded by Angels has always been on of my favorites. You know, sometimes we have to go through deep waters so we can connect with and help others going through the same struggles. When I was in high school I struggled with depression and then years later I was able to help a friend who was going through it. Our God is an AWESOME God! Thanks for your ministry.

CommentsKirk, I saw that my twin had sent you a message (Carol) Sept.19th...I wanted to let you know the concert you did at Grace Baptist is what I've needed for a long time. I was slipping from God's hands but when I heard you wonderful Spirit filled songs I knew I wanted back in the hands of God again! Your songs just filled me up and I can't stop listening to the one CD I had bought especially the one song "Seranaded by Angels" it made me think what if I didn't wake up like Debbie? I have the 2 DVD's like my sister said and I finally finished it last night after trying to watch the whole thing,I loved it and then again it amazed me how I could feel the Spirit with these DVD's. I had my oldest son listen "Seranaded by Angels" he had tears in his eyes, and I know he's close to being saved...he knows that Jesus can take care of his stuggles and trials in his life. I've told him the Lord can use him in the Music Ministry. He has a wonderful voice too, and he loves to sing and maybe with a lot of Prayer he'll be using his talents for the lord like you!
Kirk, keep the faith and Jesus is really using you, I know I felt it that night and when you gave all your burdens to Him he can really Bless you even more!

CommentsCongrats 2 U & PTL for all your recent success. Just wanted to say that you have one of the most updated yet very easy to navigate photo page of any other musician/group. Thank you for that.
Hey-did you try any of those Trivata b-12 pills that Robinsons do infomercials for. They work good. I recently saw where they have noni-juice pills. Are you going to be offering them?
Praying 4u & your lube place & your family-especially your Mom. Keep singing & doing TV.

CommentsKirk, wanted to let you know my sister and I enjoyed your concert at Grace Baptist Temple Bloomington, IN Sat.-September 16th. I had heard the song Serenaded by Angels before but hearing you sing it in person was awesome and Spirit-filled! When you were talking about depression and how you didn't want to leave your house, I was thinking how can a famous person living for God who had everything going for them feel that way? My sister bought your dvds that told your story, which I didn't watch until Monday Sept. 18th. My sister told you God was going to use you, which I know He has done for years and He isn't going to stop now. All the torment you went through may have seemed really bad at the time, but look what it's done in the long run. Because you let God take control of your life, and didn't let Satan have the victory. Needless to say I wasn't totally surprised by your story and the outcome though it did explain the depression. I usually have a sense about people and what they've been through. Keep going Strong for Jesus! He's all that matters anyway.

CommentsHi Kirk,
Just had to let you know how your testimony touched my heart. You will never know how you have set me free .My son has been gone for over 6 years , he loved the Lord and had more God given grace in his heart than a lot of pastors.I love you in Christ .

CommentsIt was good to read your story after hearing all the trash. Isn't it amazing that people will hold one sin in higher esteem than another. It's good to see you in the public eye on the victory side of a testimony.
Hope you to get to North Carolina soon.

CommentsThanks for taking the time to talk to me last night in Louisville. I know you were pulled at from a lot of people, but it was great to see you back out amoung your peers. I watched from a distance as people lined up to talk to you and you were gracious to every one. It's obvious you are a loved man. Thank you for not giving up. Keep your head up! There is no Gospel Singer perfect, we all are sinners who walk in Grace every day. Keep singing about the Love of God! Thanks again.

I know you understand the concise precision and control of hiding, especially when trying to serve God in the capacity of ministry. God's plan for us is huge. I can honestly say, for the first time in my life, I am excited about what God is doing in my life through this struggle. I Hope to meet you. Be Blessed! Always Dwayne

CommentsWere you at a Church in Livingston, TN, on Wednesday, Sept. 13? We were on our way home to Ringgold, GA, from the NQC in Louisville when we got a glimpse of the sign in front of a Church in Livingston and thought we read your name, but didn't get a chance to get the date. Sorry we couldn't stay the whole week in Louisville. If we had been there, we certainly would have come to the Diamond Awards program. Marian C. Lewis

CommentsI was in Gatlinburg for the Gatlinburg Gathering. I wasn't too excited about hearing you sing. If I had known you were going to be second on the program, I would have waited until you were done before crawling over several people to get to my seat. But I was sitting in the middle of the row so when you came out to sing, I didn't have much of a choice. I had to endure. I have to tell you that God changed my heart as you sang "I Know Him". I even questioned how God could obviously bless you. The anointing was all over you. I couldn't believe that God was using you, of all people, to bless me. I didn't like you, I had heard all kinds of rumors, I had even discussed with other singers why someone would book you on the program. But God spoke to me and showed me that I had been wrong to judge you as you sang "I Know Him". I bowed my head and asked God to forgive me. BUT THEN YOU SANG "JUDGE NOT". I began to weep. My husband asked me what was wrong. I was weeping so hard, I couldn't respond. I started getting sick thinking how I had wrongly judged you based on what I had heard about you. As you sang the duet with the young girl, God forgave me. My experience that night with the Holy Spirit, as you sang, has changed my life. I went to the concert that night to hear my favorite quartet, but I left there with a fresh touch from the Holy Spirit. I will never be the same. Thank you for singing and not giving up. I will be your number one fan now. I have prayed for you every day and will be back to see you whenever you are close to me. Thank you so very much.

Dear Kirk:
Thank you for your honesty and candor about the workof Christ in your life. I may be considered a social conservative, but I am thankful that Christ is my source and strength. Too often, we (social conservatives) are quick to pass judgment, but I wonder how many of the people that we are trying to "show the way" end up hurt or lost because of our lack of compassion. Love is what Christ is all about, and I bless you for letting Christ minister to you THROUGH every situation.
In Christ,
SJO

CommentsKirk,
I have a 90 year old friend. She has often told me about a song that she once heard. Later she wanted to sing it and couldn't remember the words but the Lord brought the whole chorus to her memory. Each day Kitty seems weaker and more tired. We both know that it won't be too long until she is "Serenaded by Angels, up to the throne." This morning I went online to find the rest of the lyrics so that we could use it at her memorial service.
When I discovered that it was your song, I went to your website. After reading your testimony, my precious brother, I was so grieved for what you have endured from the body of our dear Lord. I had never heard any of the media or 'church' news about you. I am glad I heard it from your heart first.
I am so thankful for our Savior's love and grace. Perhaps, we'll be able to hear you in a few weeks in Dover, PA .

CommentsKirk-
I just read your testimony for the first time but have listened to you minister for years and you have inspired me as a singer to also sing many of your songs. I just wanted to encourage you to stand strong through whatever trial comes your way and continue to minister with the astounding annointing God has place on you. I also want to encourage you to pray faithfully for your sister every day. My brother has been living in a homosexual lifestyle for over 30 years and I had the same reaction your sister had at first. But as we know, the love of God can conquer everything and as you continue to pray for her as I will, where any two pray in agreement...she will come around. I do not condone his lifestyle but I have to pray everyday expecting today might be the day he will be delivered and loving him all the while.
God Bless you and please continue to bless us with your incredible songs!!

CommentsKirk, In March 1997 for our 1st anniversary, my husband and I saw you in person at the Nazarene Campground in Missouri. It was Wonderful!!
You have always been my favorite Tenor and I am so sorry you are not longer singing with the Talley's.
I just read your testimony and you are so right....we all have struggles, and I am experiencing the greatest one I have ever faced in my life. (It is not a marital problem.)
I am so sorry you are no longer singing with the Talley Trio, and I pray others will forgive you, as our Heavenly Father forgives them - all of us - when we sin against Him.
I don't want any medications to sooth my feelings. I want to stay focused on God, so I am playing your CD's that I bought years, which remind me what Christ did for me, and remind me of His promises. I am placing my faith in Him to forgive me and bring me through this horrific time.

CommentsMy wife and I were in Gatlinburg on vacation and saw a poster outside the Convention Center about the Gospel Sing. We didn't know any of the artists that were on the program for Saturday night but we bought a ticket anyway. When we heard you sing "Judge Not" we started weeping. We were so touched by that song because we have been objects of judgemental attitudes all our lives. We both grew up in church and was talked about, condemned, and eventually kicked out of a church because of some of our beliefs. We came to a point to where we wanted nothing to do with church, God, or Christian people. (especially Baptist). After the concert on Saturday night, we decided to return for th Sunday Morning Worship Service. We have never experienced anything like that before. We both were down at the altar at the end of the message, and we both have rededicated our lives to Christ. We heard an invitation from your song "Judge Not" that brought us back to church the next morning. Thank you for writing that song. We bought your Cd's (you are the only artist we bought) and as of now, we are planning on coming back to Gatlinburg Next year on Labor Day Weekend and will definitely be looking for your poster there.

CommentsI was in Gatlinburg. God really used you on Saturday night and Sunday morning. Most of what I heard was just music, but your part of the night was more than music. It was incredible ministry. Your song about judging was the most knawing song, as it knawed at my consciounce. God's using you, don't let the Pharisee's pull you down. Keep up the good work.

CommentsDear Kirk:
I am aware of some of the criticism and disappointments you have had recently and I must share this with your readers. I saw you in Gatlinburg Saturday night and again Sunday morning and I have so much respect for you and the way in spite of everything you are still singing for the Lord, loving Him and praising Him and so obviously anointed by Him. You have gone way beyond being an entertainer Kirk - you are a minister and the world needs you! Don't let anything stop you short of the Lord Himself! I love and appreciate you more than ever! Your friend Lucy.
