Kirk,
Not sure if you know it or not but AOL Radio is now playing your new LIVE AT THE RIVER. This morning I heard "OH LAMB OF CALVARY" If your readers don't know about it, they should check out AOL Radio, southern gospel.

CommentsMr. Talley,
I attended your concert last night in Martinsville, Indiana. I was amazed at your honesty. I didn't know that so much had happened to you in the past two years. I had wondered what had happened that you were no longer in the Singing News. After hearing your story, and seeing the audience respond to your ministry, I wonder what's wrong with the Gospel Music industry. You are real ministry. You are a great singer, an extrodinary communicator, a wonderful entertainer. . . . but yet you are making a difference in some people's lives. I appreciated how you ended the service. No long commercial about your CD's.....and yes I bought your new one.
You never know who and what you are singing to. I was there lonely and depressed but I left there challenged to draw closer to Christ. Thank you for REAL MINISTRY. In a day of economic distress, I have to pick and choose where I spend my extra income and after what i saw last night, I will no longer support the ones who don't support you.

CommentsI would have to agree with Bill. I am not gay but I know someone who is and I have discussed it with her many many times. I don't treat her any differently than I do anyone else. Quite honestly, she had been more of a friend to me than some of my own family members.
I love her unconditionally. She is precious to me and to Christ. She is a wonderful Sunday School teacher at my church. The children love her. all her friends love her...fully aware of her preference, so does her partner......and so does God!
Wouldn't it be a great thing if everyone would stop judging and leave it to God. Just enjoy people for who they are instead of judging them on their likes and dislikes!

CommentsThis is a reply to James. Thanks for the link. And people wonder why so many millions have been killed in the name of religion. You are trying to make an argument that gay people are evil or defective and need fixing, all in the mood of love and forgiveness. One of the first steps to dominate a minority is to convince them of their inferiority or defectiveness. As I read Dr. Dobson's assessment of SSA as you call it, I was amazed at the attempt at validation of his statements by "professionals", with all the official looking footnotes and such. Then I glanced at the bottom of the page and saw this. "TroubledWith.com is a service of Focus on the Family. It is intended as a practical reference, and should not be considered as a substitute for advice from medical, mental health or legal professionals. " In other words it's all for entertainment and reinforcement of his homophobic readers. Preaching to the choir. James, you have no clue what your talking about or the damage you can cause to young gay people. Until you have a gay child, or have one of your gay loved ones commit suicide because he or she couldn't bear the rejection of the family and church, you'll not have the wisdom to speak on this subject. I am gay and happy and don't need fixing. Bill

CommentsKirk and everyone else who struggle with Same Sex Attraction check out Dr. Dobson's focus on the family website www.troubledwith.com and then click on the homosexuality tab. It explains everything. What Satan means for evil, God can heal, restore and renew and then use it for His honor and Glory. Keep keeping on and remember cause you have been thru this when you have worked thru all of it and allowed Father God to love on you and heal you, then you will be an even stronger man or woman than what you would have been having not gone thru it. God will turn a curse into a blessing.
This site also has a lot of information for anything anyone is going thru.

CommentsKirk,
Isn't God wonderful to allow our sins to expose us? It's bitter-sweet, I can attest. However no one can be free of what isn't identified and confronted. SSA is also a "thorn in the flesh" for me as well. But I'm not focusing on the sin as on the Saviour. I know that if I can draw closer and closer to God, He and His sufficient grace will overwhelm me. Further, it wasn't until I had a stronghold that I realized just how much of a need I had of Jesus.
For every person who is struggling as they are being renewed by God's transformative grace, know that for some it's instant, for others it is a process. Either way it takes renewing the mind with God's Word...every day. Together we all can pray for each other and be a wonderful support to help each other draw closer to God.
And let's pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who may not have temptations and testings of their own. They miss knowing just how great is this love of Christ. It is the greatest sinners that know the fullness of Christ's sacrifice. Thank you Jesus for going such a mighty long way.
Kirk, thank you for your courage and candidness. Not being a posterboy for any cause other than Jesus Christ and His cross.
Isn't God good!!!!!

CommentsKirk, like you I have struggled with SSA since I was sexually abused by my own brothers when I was 12 years old. It continued until I moved out at the age of 18 and tryed to forget the issue. Your testimony has helped me continue my walk of faith knowing that God still loves me in spite of my faults and weakness. I've ALWAYS enjoyed your music and listen to your songs daily as well as your testimony. It helps me get through each day. God bless you and your ministry!

Comments I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how VERY much your music has affected me. You have an extraordinary ministry and amazing talent. Hold your head high, my friend, all of us have struggles that we are trying to overcome. However, most people aren't brave enough to be truthful about their "issues." You have my vote of confidence, as well as, many others, I'm sure. Remember God remembers what people forget (the good) and people remember what God forgets (the bad). Your song is so very true, about Jesus getting us "Past Our Past

CommentsKirk-
I have read your testimony numerous times and each time I read it I find that you truly are an amzing man.
I do not agree with homosexuality at all, however, God did not make any of us to be perfect and therefore that is why sin reigns upon the earth.
The Bible plainly tells us that "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and judge not lest ye be judged likewise".
It took a lot of courage for you to stand up against everything you were encountering and to tell the truth about yourself. That's why some people are being hypicrital to you. They don't have it in them to be honest about themselves.
As for your sister, I hope (Iknow this will not sound right but hear me out) she's not calling herself a Christian because if she is, she's playing with fire.
The Bible tells us all through that we are to forgive our fellow man and repent - pick up the pieces and go on. I have heard my father preach many times that God doesn't owe us one thing. He doesn't leave nor forsake us, but rather we do not fully trust in God for all things at all times. Satan is sly - he'll use anything and everthing he can to keep people from serving the Lord. There is not one person in this world who if they were honest enough to be honest with themselves and or towards others that haven't at sometime or the other encountered something in their lives and have struggled with the truth and to keep others in the dark. That's a part of life. God never promised us an easy road to travel nor that being a Christian would be a breeze but he did promise this, "Go and I will go with you all the way even to the ends of the world",
You just keeping trusting and believing in the Lord Our God, he WILL see you through.
And if your sister continues not to forgive you while time is at hand, when it's her time to stand before the Lord in the day of judgement, she'll stand accountable for her actions. She will be in the hands of a just God!
Best of luck to you Kirk. Your a good man with an amazing talent, keep it up.

CommentsDear Mr. Talley:
You have been dear to my heart since the day of my beautiful daughter's Memorial Service - February 15, 2003. My parents have been "fans" of gospel music since my childhood. They loved Rachel dearly and requested that "Serenaded by Angels" be sung at her service. The young man who sang your song has a beautiful voice and the words were so appropriate for our Rachel.
Many, many, times since that day, I have sat by her grave and repeated the words of that song. I cannot explain, but they have helped keep me sane. I will always be grateful that God used you to
help my family and me cope with what is our loss, but Rachel's gain. I now know what it is to "long" for Heaven.
I hope someday to meet you and give to you a picture of this beautiful young woman, whom I know was truly escorted by angels to the feet of Jesus. I have a need to give to you a picture of her. This sounds presumtuous, but I think that there is a song in the story of her life.
You are scheduled to be in Gadsden in December. If someone thrusts a picture toward you, please take it . That is all it will be - a picture of a lovely woman who
lived more for Christ in 33 years than others do in 70 or 80.
Tonight I watched your latest DVD, and I admire your courage and appreciate your heart. You will be in my prayers.
All blessings, JG

CommentsI think Garrett was right on target in his comments. It apparently was very well thought out and holds many truths. As far as changing out of the "gay" lifestyle, I'm not so sure its possible without a miracle. I've had these attractions for so long dating back to boyhood days, having prayed and prayed, and trying to personally make the change, it hasn't happened and I believe never will. I'm comfortable with who I am and I know that somehow I fit into God's creation and His plan, just as I am.

I just read Garrett's comments about being a homosexual. I would like to tell Garrett that God loves the sinner but hates the sin. Homosexuality is a sin, it is not natural and God did not make you that way. You are in my prayers, I pray you can overcome this lifestyle

CommentsDear Mr. Talley,
I just want to start with my comments to say thank you for your ministry. It has been a great blessing and inspiration to me and my church family through the years. God has blessed you with a wonderful gift so always use it with thanksgiving.
Secondly, I just wanted to thank you for your article in GQ magazine some time ago. I had been meaning to email earlier but time got away with me. I myself, have struggled in your shoes so I know exactlywhat you have gone through and/or going through. I do consider myself a "gay" man though, like you, I hate labels. I am 27, a high school history teacher, and have grown up in a christian home and church background all my life. I still currently attend the church I grew up in as a child and lead the music every Sunday. Though I am not "out" to my church and community, I am out to my family and I must say, God has been so good to bless me with, if not understanding, then still loving and caring parents who have stuck by me still. That is truely the love of God that has been written about.
I do not know all of your circumstances and please do not take this email as a pushing of one side or the other or a prying into your life. I just wanted to, I guess, tell my story to give peace of mind as is to let you know that God still loves you and that you are not alone.
I have known my attraction for men since I was very young, and like I said, I grew up in a strong Christian family and church. With this knowledge in me, I know for a fact, it is nothing that was taught to me. I am who I am because of genetics and because it is the way GOD MADE ME. I have been taught that God is Love and that he does not make junk. He has a purpose for everyone and everything. I strongly believe that. I believe everything happens for a reason. I have been so blessed to see the miracles and progress God has done through me. I can distinctly see how one event has led to another for the betterment of me. But back to the concept of Love. God is Love and has urged us to love one another. I cannot see how God would deny one whom he loves the capability to not love another. I am not hurting anyone else. I am sharing a love with another that returns the love. Do I think this is logically correct? No. It is not biologically sound to have to males together, this does not allow reproduction. In many ways, and I hate to say it, but it is like a handicap. It is not "normal" but it is there so what is wrong with that? Are we to say that God DOES make mistakes? Are we to say that God DOES have limitations on love? I do not believe this. I know the Bible can be interpreted many ways. And like I have said, I was raised well and have been educated myself. And with that background and education I have come to turns with my homosexuality and my faith as a Christian. I can be BOTH! and be very happy and content that NO, I am not going to hell for love for if it were wrong I believe God would have let me know somehow. Am I perfect? Of course not. Have I failed him? Many times and I am sure will in the future. But I am loved by God and I know I am not alone. And when I lay my head down at night I know that I am blessed to know love and to be loved in return by not only God but another and be completely satisifed, mentally, physically, and emotionally.
I pray that you may know that assurance, whatever that may be. I wish I could somehow talk to you on the phone and just pour my heart out even more but under the previous circumstances, I know that would be out of the question, Ha! But do know God loves you, you are not alone EVER!
May God bless you in all you do.

CommentsI was impressed with your testimony on the cd. Many years ago preachers blasted people who are gay or had same sex attraction. If you were like this, you had no hope of ever being saved, but Jesus is true to His word when he says in 1 John 1:9 "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from "ALL" unrighteousness. That word "all" means every sin known to man. The gospels record that Jesus was also tempted with every sin known to man, but did not give in to it.
If we can't forgive and reach out to the gay community and we condemn them, then we are hypocrites. When God looks around the earth for souls to save He sees people as He created them. Male and Female. Not male, female and gays.
He looks for the humbled heart who really wants to be saved. The one who struggles and cries out His name at night. The one whos tears cleanses the soul. That's the one who God saves.
God bless you Kirk for standing for the truth. May many souls come to know Jesus because of your testimony and ministry. Keep up the good work!

CommentsKirk, I'm always left speechless at the thought of God's amazing grace. As someone who has struggled for many years with the same issues as you have, I can certainly understand your position. To those who would cast a judgemental glare, I pray for forgivness and am reminded of Mary and her alabastor jar. Her willingness to serve and worship the master no matter what others thought is a lesson for us all. God is Soverign and faithful and most of all-full of grace and mery. My prayers are continually with you. God bless.

I was sure dissapointed when your music was deleted from the line-up on JOY-FM and I am glad to know that you are still out there and singing. If my church could afford to have you come and perform I would do it in a minute because you have a God given talent that shouldn't be quieted for a moment. I have read your testimony and my heart goes out to you and you do know that you are one of God's children no matter your choices.
I saw you in Salisbury, NC at Catawba college a couple of years ago and was blown away by your voice. Keep sing for the Lord and your life will be rewarded appropiately..God Bless You.

CommentsDear Kirk,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you. May God continue to bless and keep you.
I have a step-son that is in a homosexual lifestyle, and I always show my love to him, without condemnation. I pray constantly that he will have a desire to come out of that lifestyle, and seek the Lord. Like you, he was saved in a Freewill Baptist church when he was a youth, but has now turned his back on the church, partly because of the harsh judgement.
Your testimony has been an inspiration to me.
Sincerly,
Annette

Comments agree with Rachel that "Unfolding Majesty" was absolutely anointed Tuesday night. I've recently been watching this at my mother's house, as a way to spend time, as well as witness to her (unsaved at 76) since health reasons have prevented her from attending church with me the last 3 months. Her comment was "That's one of the best shows I've ever seen." I could tell it touched her, so, do not doubt the witnessing power there. I'm grateful to Dean and Mary Brown for involving you, Kirk, in some of these shows. We look forward to them. I also want to say that I pray that the Christian/Gospel world will wake up and widely use "Live at the River; My Story, My Song." It is beyond a doubt, the most anointed CD (and DVD) I have EVER played. Mine are nearly worn out already, but I've received such blessings from them. I just wish everyone could witness it. I'll keep praying that God will continue to bless and use you in His own mighty ways.

CommentsI'll bet you've got more friends than you ever dreamed of after the truth of your situation came out. Now you're meeting the "real" Christians. What a blessing! I am somewhat surprised how blind American Christians are to what God's word says about sinners and how to deal with them. I think it's their own exceedingly great sinfulness that causes the blindness. I hope someday to be able to hear you in person.

CommentsFor all the naysayers that think you shouldn't be on stage again, for all the promoters that refuse to book you, and for the Singing News people who are trying to keep you from singing, they should have seen Unfolding Majesty last night on TBN. If I have ever seen annointed ministry through Gospel Music, it was last night when you sang "I want intimacy with Jesus". If people couldn't feel the annointing of the Holy Spirit on you during that song, then they have a much bigger problem than you do. I have already written Dean and Mary Brown to thank them for having you on their show. I hope you realize that TBN is much bigger than that little world of "southern Gospel" that you used to live in. You are just starting . . . . . . I am excited and going to be thrilled to sit back and watch how the Lord expands your horizons. Just watch and see how God uses the imperfect. So proud of you, Kirk Talley .

Commentshere is my reply to the people who judge and put you down----You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. It is written: ' As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.' So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God. Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way. Romans 14:10-13

I admire you having the courage to give your testimony. I know it had to be very hard revealing all you went through. I had a step-son that went through this and he never talked about it to me. He didn't want me to know because I suppoes he was afraid of rejection. I so wish he had been able to come to me. He passed away in Dec of 1993. I just pray that he was able to talk it over iwth God before he died.

CommentsBrother: What a blessing I received reading your testimony. You have a heart fixed on our Lord - you have proven that by including in your testimony your recent struggle that we've heard so much about in the news. Brother, thank you for addressing that struggle, my heart ached as I read about the painful experiences you had on your journey to deliverance. I accessed the site of another brother with a different struggle and it saddened me that nothing was said about it anywhere on his website but you on the otherhand addressed it squarely - praise the Lord, I shall continue to listen to your wonderful, anointed music. May the church of Jesus Christ learn true forgiveness and mercy, may they read, meditate on and study the gospels, may we love like Jesus loved - we're so off base. God bless you brother. CommentsI am a Krew member. You were just at our church and your ministry was incredible. The church is still talking about it. I can't believe that every pastor in America is not trying to book you. We have had a lot of southern gospel groups in our church, but your ministry of honesty was inspirational and was evident as people streamed to the altar. Phooey on the ones that still want to have nothing to do with you. I guess they are afraid to get down to the nitty gritty of the gospel. I am praying for you and all those churches who are afraid to rock the boat and have real ministry in their sanctuary.

CommentsI have been listening to Kirk sing since the Hoppers. This weekend I went to hear him at a church. Actually, I did not know what to expect. I am amazed at how Kirk has the annointing of God on his life more than ever. For those who condemn him please go to hear him. I am sure you will walk away blessed. If we were to let someone who has a talent for God such as Kirk has(both in singing and songwriting) go by the wayside God would be very displeased. CommentsDear Kirk,
I have just come from having lunch with my mother and sharing a wonderful time of fellowship the rest of the afternoon and evening. Mother, Daddy, and I have been long-time fans of yours, and I first remember having heard you when I was a pre-teen when you were with the Cathedrals. I went to many a Cathedrals concert growing up, and was blessed later to have you and The Talleys come to my church in Dallas. I have been blessed by your lyrics, your music, and your awesome voice for almost my entire 32 years of life. (During Jr. High I was especially touched by "Lonely People" -- for I, too, felt alone most of the time. I had a call of God on my life into the Music Ministry fairly early, and sometimes we who are in the ministry feel separated, or set apart from others who don't understand what the call of God is. Nevertheless, we are human, and Ministry can be a very lonely field, even though we're constantly surrounded by people.)
Anyway, while I was at my parents' office today, Mother showed me her copy of the August 2005 GQ Magazine, and I'd like to take a moment to say how much I appreciate your honesty, your openness, your sincerity, and your integrity! I applaud you for allowing the Holy Spirit to move in your life through this most difficult time, and I want you to know that I have prayed for you since the moment I heard of your struggle. I believe the Word of God in it's entirety; therefore, I wholeheartedly embrace the Scripture "Behold! Old things are passed away; behold! All things are become new!" And with that said, I belive that you CAN overcome this battle! When we come to Christ we are to shed the old self, the old shell, and POOF we are made brand new! That does NOT mean we won't face temptations, because we will; we are human. Instead, this seals the deal for you, because your "old man" was definitely shed when you went for that 3-day deliverance session. When you had those visons of Christ being with you and for you, those were valid, those were real, and those were Divinely given to you for reassurance that HE WAS THERE, He died for your sins, and He will be with you each time you are tempted to remind you that that sin is covered in His precious blood. The Word says, "I have cast your sins into the Sea of Forgetfulness -- as far as the east is from the west." That means that once we ask for forgiveness, we are instantly and ever so graciously covered in the blood of Christ, which He so lovingly shed on Calvary for the remission of sins. We are to "turn from our wicked ways", to repent, and strive from that day forth to never give in to those sins which once had us bound. The Word says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but principalities, rulers, and powers of the darkness." So, basically, Kirk, the battle, this battle is not even yours to fight! :) The Word says, "The battle belongs to the Lord."
I want to encourage you to give up and let Jesus take over ... everyday, all day, every minute of the day. I encourage you to RECEIVE what He has for you: COMPLETE RESTORATION in Him. I want to encourage you to delete all negativity from your website, no matter who posts it, because you neither need nor deserve any reminders of your past flaws. The past is the past! The Lord doesn't remember it, why should anyone else?? The Word of God says, "Judge not, lest you be judged with the same measure." That means for all those Diana's (negative post: 9/30/05) out there who feel the liberty to post hateful, judgemental, mean, slanderous, outright satanic things to or about you need to think twice before they spew venom. They need to heed the Lord's warning in the Word of God which reads, "Touch not mine anointed!". This means there will be swift and severe judgement/punishment to those who come against Ministers of the Gospel, Evangelists, Music Ministers, etc. They are damning their own lives, their own souls when they come against people with a God-given calling on their lives! Be careful, people!
*And remember the old adage: "The guilty dog always barks first!" It's been proven that the ones who spew the most venom are really the ones who have the most heinous of hidden sins! They feel so horrible about themselves and the sins they are involved in, whether they be outward sins and/or secret addictions that in order to attempt to take the focus off of themselves and ease their own guilt, they attack an innocent person in hopes no one will recognize what they are involved in. The Word of God says, "Remove the plank from your own eye before you attempt to remove the splinter from someone else's eye." The mirror bears a harsh reality of our own reflection: we are ALL sinners saved by grace ... some just apply more makeup to fake their beauty! (LOL)
Goodnight & God Bless,

CommentsMr. Talley
I saw you in NC this past weekend. I want you to know that I am a big fan of Southern Gospel Music, I enjoy most all the groups that travel and sing (not all but most) But Sunday I saw real ministry, like I haven't seen in a long long time at a concert by a Southern Gospel Group. Your song about Intimacy touched me in a way no other song has ever touched me before. You have caused me to take a different look at things in my life and in the lives of my family. Thank you for doing more than entertaining me, you challenged me with your testimony.

CommentsKirk,
I had no idea who you were and popped into your web site to get the skinny on you for an article I am writing about Knoxville Unites. I love you today more than I did that night! Your compassion for the broken people of the gulf is the important thing here. My article is focused on the ability of local christians to come together, helping hurting people while demonstrating the love of Christ, which above all else is our priority - To Love One Another!
My blood boils over just reading the "gay" stuff! I have a 26 year old son with AID's that is gay. He has one wish and that is to die without fear, not clutching someones hand and hanging on for just one more day. He wants to believe that he can go to Heaven too. So many Christian's have beat him down in their attempt to "fix" his sexuality that he refusses God and His Grace!
I am currently working on a project that will address homosexuality and Christianity. I cant tell you how many times I have been asked how I can call myself a Christian and have a gay son - in fact I have 2 other son's that adopted me because I can and do love them regardless of their "gayness". I think there are a lot of Christians who are confused about attraction and action - action is the sin. We are all sinners and we must go beyond judgement and move into a deeper understanding and acceptance of forgiveness. Each of us is offered forgiveness but can we and do we have the capacity to forgive and love others, unconditionally? I wonder if Jesus were alive today if he wouldnt be walking the streets of Gay communities teaching principals and demonstrating God's love and grace to them.
Have you read The Beloved by Henri Nouin (my spelling is off but I loaned my copy out, sorry) It is a wonderful book and if you havent read it I would reconmend you do. We are loved beyond our earthly understanding. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to meet you and thankful that God is using you, I am sorry that you have suffered such deep pain in the process.
A Sister in Christ,
Kat

CommentsBecause of fragrance induced asthma, I have been unable to attend any concert in the last few years. I had previously purchased a video of Sernaded by Angels but had loaned it so much that I forgot who was the last person to borrow it. I have not only been touched by the lyrics but I have received a blessing from them and I wanted another copy. I logged onto your web site and just browsed it. I am touched by your testimonyand reminded of a phrase in Billy Graham's book TIL' ARMAGEDDON made by a woman who had gone through a divorce and was suprised at the rejection of some of her "church firends" -- the phrase is "please don't shoot, I am already wounded". I hope you are as glad as I am that ultimately God is our Judge. Oh, how I know your pain and depression are very real and I am grateful that God has placed true friends in your life who will unconditionally love and accept you.

CommentsRebecca, please accept my apology for offending you. However, my observation is not of one who says "Everyone is doing it, I may as well, too." One single evangelist faced the unnecessary questioning (behind his back) of "Wonder why he isn't married?" His confronting response, "What is wrong with celebacy?" God bless him! Not wanting to lump you in an undeserved catagory, I just found it interesting that you "gave" these scriptures, assuming that he was in need of those, instead of perhaps other scriptures which might give encouragement & comfort to one who appears to be choosing celebacy

CommentsWell ... I haven't heard or seen Kirk since he confessed his problem, yet, I suspected it at a concert about a year ahead of the incident. HOWEVER... I think Jesus said it well, when a bunch of men brought the woman caught in adultery to Him.. "Let him who is without sin, cast the first stone". If there is no forgiveness and restoration for Kirk in the Kingdom of God - we all may as well pack up bag and baggage and head for hell. It doesn't really matter the "why" that things happen when they happen in life. From the hurricanes to sin being found out --- isn't the main thing that GOD cares enough to shake His people a bit to get them back on the right track?? If this world were governed by an unjust God - there'd not be many to cast stones at Kirk because we'd all perish after our first indiscretion. Thank God for GRACE that is greater than our sin. Thank GOD HE forgives and casts our sins into the depths of the sea of forgetfulness. TOO bad the rest of us can't forget. Oh yes, I'm all for "by their fruits ye shall know them", but - hey .. give a person a chance. I like the fact that Kirk hasn't excused himself, but seeks a way to draw close to Christ and find a place of peace and wholeness with God - without the sin. Maybe in this world it's not blessed are the pure in heart, but blessed are they which are never caught!! Forgive us our trespasses, Lord, as WE forgive those who trespass against us!

CommentsSharon, thank you for reminding us to also read Romans 2 and 3. They and many other scriptures were only omitted for times sake. Kirk knows better than anyone that my comments are not made in judgement of anyone. At the same time my personal shortcomings don't change the word of God. Sin is sin and it costs anyone and everyone that continues to practice it. He who knows to do right and does it not is sin. So if you know what is right, do your best to do it. If you mess up, repent! God is a forgiving God. Don't say, oh well, everybody does it so I might as well do it anyway. If we weren't going to be tempted Jesus wouldn't have taught us to pray "don't let us yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one" NLT Please understand that any comment I may make is for good not evil. I believe the Holy Spirit will lead all of us if we submit to Christ with our whole heart.

CommentsKirk,
I have been a fan for years. Used to see you with the Cathedrals at the old Long Beach Auditorium in Ca. I love the song "No other word for Grace but Amazing". I believe God's Grace is enough to carry you along and forgive all the blind critics and so called friends that have stopped supporting your ministry. Keep it up. I know it's tough staring over in a sense, church to church..setting up the CD display etc. But God will provide for you as you build a new fan base. I believe one day you will be out on the Southern Gospel circuit again. Maybe a new Quartet...that will set the music business on its back.
you are walking in faith and stepping out with Jesus as your guide and friend. God Bless you along your way. Jim

CommentsIt amazes me when I hear christians want to throw Romans 1 at other christians without reading Romans 2 and 3 themselves. My heart aches to the point of breaking to witness "christians" hurting God's own children with harsh criticisms & judgments - amd with such absolute ignorance. As I have previously told you, honest people KNOW that we ALL have our secrets. None of us wants to reveal those. I am deeply grateful for your tremendous courage & transparancy. My husband was born blind - did God allow that? Yes. And my husband serves God & gives Him glory. We all endure things which we did not choose or ask for - thank you for giving us courage by your example. May God bless you in your ministry of reaching people who would otherwise give up.
My love & respect,
