CommentsKirk - Just got my July edition of U.S. GOSPEL NEWS Magazine. I always read your article first! Just want to let you know how much I enjoy your articles! Your stories on Johnny Minick, Anthony Burger's search for an extension cord for his smoke machine, the trip to Myrtle Beach on your motorcycle, your interview with LuAnn Burger and then this month's story on The Martins are all wonderful and entertaining. As one of your pastor friends has told you, "You don't have to be perfect to be a blessing." There's an old song, DAY BY DAY, which has a verse hat says, "Day by day and with each passing moment, strength I find to meet my trials here; trusting in my Father's wise bestowment, I've no cause for worry or for fear." Keep your eyes turned upon Jesus, our Savior, and stay close to Him, Kirk. We love you!

CommentsI have always enjoyed your music very much and try to keep up with how you are doing and with what is going on with you.
I viewed your photos from Dickson, Tn. and did I ever get a surprise. There in two pictures was my cousin Shane Dunlap. I knew you were friends by did not know if you ever get to see him. I
have emailed his several times but he must be too busy to answer, so if you see him soon tell him to e-mail his old
cousin Elaine in Morrow, Ga. You can give his my e-mail address.
I have prayed many prayers for you and I know that my God does answer prayer. You have been to my church several times when Rev. Curtis Turner was our pastor and I hope that we will be able to have you again but at the present time our church is going thru hard times due to Bro. Turner leaving and about two-thirds of our congregation has moved to the McDonough area.
I hope to be able to attend one of your concerts when ever you are in or around
the Atlanta area.
Again my prayers are with you and I hope you will sincerely pray for our church and our music program.
Until I see you in person or on the other
side with Jesus, I am Elaine.

CommentsHi Kirk. I read your last newsletter and found myself totally amused. I live in Morgantown West Virginia and if I had known you were in town, you surely would not have had to wait at the shop for your car. Morgantown has alot to offer, great Christian people and some extremely beautiful scenery. Sometime if you find yourself near here again, send me an email and we'll take care of you. My father pastors a church here and we would love to have you come visit.
Keep holding on to the Savior's hand Kirk. Sometimes we can't understand why, but God uses our struggles to help others thru theirs. When other supposed Christians turn their back on someone struggleing, it really makes you wonder what type of God they serve. One of my favorite scriptures is II Corinthians 5:7 - For we walk by FAITH and not by SIGHT. It may be short, but it packs a powerful message.
God Bless You Kirk. We love you!

CommentsI did not know any thing of this till just a few day's ago and I was taken back by how you were left on your own by fellow Christians to fend for your self.I don't see how people who are to be forgiving of mans sins and have sins of their own can send a brother away to lonliness and self doubt to [not find the answer] but to be told YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN HAVE THIS PROBEM. Chritians of all people should know better then to think that humans are above falt.We all have things to battle and that is why Christ did what he did on the cross.I say God be with you Kirk and lean Christ who is strong and not on people who are weak.

CommentsYou were the best artist on the program last night in Dickson, Tn. You couldn't see the artists seated behind you on stage but it was obvious when you sang "Judge Not" that the writers on that stage were amazed. I watched Gerald Crabb and Laverne Tripp and they were just shaking their heads in disbelief of your song. I spoke to one of them after the show and asked him about your song, and his word was "Incredible". I hope you know that many many people are in your court and love you and support you still.

CommentsI have enjoyed your newletters and I play you CD's that my husband brought in King, NC. just about everyday. You have a wonderful God given voice and I love to hear you sing. I hope that my husband, son and myself can come to Maiden, NC in July to hear you, that will be about a two hr. drive from King.
God will bless you for your wonderful ministry. I pray that you keep your spirits high and singing great.

CommentsHaving suffered much as a result of other people's sexual sins against me, I know how hard that kind of a journey is. I know that God can really use best those who suffer much. Tonight is the first time I heard of your struggle. We have heard you in person. God has given you a wonderful ministry. Satan will do everything in his power to destroy you and me. I am a Christian counselor and see many broken people. God is greater than all of our experiences.

Commentsi just want to tell you that your music has always been a blessing to me, and everytime i hear you sing the song, "I know a man who can", it let's me know that God does love me no matter what. i understand the difficulties that you went thru, and i will probably be your biggest supporter, because i have enjoyed your singing over the years. you're a very talented and blessed singer, and no matter what anyone says or does, they can't take away what God has blessed you with. so hang in there and i will try to contact you to come and maybe visit our little church, or i hope that you will consider it. take care and God bless you always.

I keep hoping to get to one of your concerts around close, but I sing in a little quartet, also and we are on the road all the time, too! I hope that our paths will cross one day soon. I do love and appreciate you and I have added you to my prayer list(as well as your mom). I plead the Blood of Jesus over you as you travel!!!

CommentsSure enjoyed you in Birmingham. I loved the new songs. Maybe the artist that wouldnt allow you to be on the Catheral Tribute that we had here in Birmingham needs to hear "Judge Not". After I heard the story, I decided that I won't go back to hear his trio again. We love you and praying for you!

CommentsMy mother is a big fan of yours and she let me borrow her dvd that had your story on it. It was recorded live at the river. Title my story my song.
I want you to know it touched me very much and i'm so sorry for the pain that you have had to go through. I can't believe thoes that profess to love Jesus have turned against you.I feel if you have the love of God in your heart that they would have reached out to you instead of judging you. There is not one perfect person on this earth and never will be until we go to heaven to be with our Lord. The songs that i have heard you sing like, I know a man who can or wade in the water have picked me up so many times when i was down and out. The people who are judging you better look at their selfs first and take inventory. We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Let the person who has no sin cast the first stone. I will continue to pray for you and you keep holding your head up and praising the Lord!!

CommentsDearest Kirk,
Well, this does not pertain to unfolding majesty. My husband and I get so refreshed from The Trio videotapes. Whenever we are overwhelmed, those tapes lead us to our Refuge, Jesus Christ. God has gifted you with a comforting, healing voice. Teamed up with Ivan, Anthony, and the pizza man, Mark Lowry, gives a spectrum of anointings. I must admit, when Anthony sings "In that fair land,I'll take my stand" sets us off. He will probably be raptured at the piano, since he almost flies away on certain songs!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a good work you are in and I'm certain the storms have not passed you by, for the anointing is from one who is not religious, but discipled. God bless all of you and lead you to move where he has chosen. Thank you

CommentsDidn't anyone send fruitcake?
To guestbook readers:
I have just requested Kirk Talley music on iTunes; currently there is only one song available (Serenaded by Angels), and it is on a Gaither collection or something like that. I am thinking that maybe, if a bunch of people request music, iTunes will listen.
The way to do it (if anyone else is like me and new to iTunes) is to do a search for an artist that they don't have -- Kirk Talley doesn't work, because there is already one song available. Then it will give you the option to submit a request. I chose to request an artist and typed in Kirk, but specific albums or whatever might be good.

CommentsKirk, I honestly haven't heard about you before, but I was searching for the lyrics of "The Strength of the Lord", and I was given this link. I was hoping to give it to my friend who need some encouragement, but I guess God knows that I need encouragement too especially that I drifted apart from church since I moved here in USA. I am so blessed with your testimony. As you reach out and encourage people through your songs and testimony, I could imagine the angels rejoicing in heaven and the devils groaning. I'm glad that you didn't let your struggles hinder you to serve the Lord. God bless!

CommentsHi Kirk,
I generally don't write to people like you - I don't want to waste your time. However, I just want you to know I appreciate your testimony. I'm saddened that Southern Gospel groups and associations have turned their backs on you. Shame on them! You would think they would have been the first by your side. Please know that as God moves in your life, leading you on, He will bless you in ways you cannot even dream now.
One more thing, I just read your latest newsletter where you mentioned the Keatons and the Collingsworths. I thought, "wow, this guy knows some people I know." Cool! Both the Keatons and the Collingsworths are great people. Of course, you already know that. Well, keep up the good work. Come to Lexington, KY sometime. My wife and I will be there!

CommentsKirk, I was very touched by your testimony and you will be in my prayers.
We serve an awesome God who uses everything about our lives to reach out and touch others for Him...nothing is wasted. I know the power of the Holy Spirit and, indeed, His grace is sufficient when we seek Him first in all things. May you feel the warmth of His embrace as He holds onto you with His love.
To God be the Glory!
I think you might enjoy my website as much of what I have written is for the suffering and needy souls in our world. We all need Jesus and the comfort we feel while in His arms.

CommentsKirk, thanks for coming to Parkway House of Prayer in Roanoke. I felt very blessed to meet you and hear you sing again. I have loved your music for many years. When 'Serenaded by Angels' was released, my mother was going through the last season of her life, suffering from Alzheimer's. I cannot tell you how much comfort the words and melody of that song was to me during the last months of her life and the days after she was gone. It was joy to hear you sing it in person. Thanks also for letting me have my picture taken with you. It was a highlight of my life. I have prayed for you over the years and am continuing to do so. My family loves you, and always has, always will. I believe your ministry is going to be bigger and better than ever. I believe what you said about the church being a place where we are to extend grace and love folks to the place Christ wants them to be. I have been hurt in the past by church people too and it is a deep hurt, but I am so glad God draws close to us and lets us know that His nature is unconditional love and that we can run to Him and never be rejected. Thank you for sharing your testimony and being so transparent. Many blessings!

CommentsYou are a standard bearer for those of us who are making it "real". I too am praying daily for you and will continue to do so. I can't explain how much your testimony meant to me along with the picture and tomarrow CD. I'am trusting God completely during my restoration for my sin. He has been so real to me during these struggles. I can assure you, I will not let the "song die". Thank you for your encouragement and prayer! Keep being "REAL". God Bless You and Your ministry.

I am so glad you didn't stop singing. and SHAME ON JOY FM for the way they are treating you. I, for one, have stopped listening and many of my friends have. While I don't have the battle you have, I can understand the pain that has been caused by "brothers and Sisters". I want to say thank you for being who you are and being real.
