Dear Kirk, I just want you to know that I have been listening to your music for ever. When I first heard you sing I had to get your cd. NOw I have 5 of your cd's. You have been a real inspiration to me.I was sinking pretty low and I heard you sing and the words were simply beautiful.I can't thank God enough for your ministry of music. You by far are a real hero to me. God has created the best handi work of all when he created you. I could never love people thru your music I learned to love people with a Godly love that I never knew excisted. Thank you Kirk for following God's beautiful plan. God Bless you and always watch over you. Love in the Masters Service Darlene P>S> When you coming to florida?

I just read your testimony. I don't think I've ever heard you sing, although I have heard The Talley Trio & Lauren Talley. I have heard about you, though, from my husband, Darrell who loves Southern Gospel, & got me into it. I think it's a shame that Christians will judge other Christians when they do whatever they deem to be a sin. I have always believed that God loves the sinner but hates the sin, & if that's what He believes, then I do too. I believe the reason so many walk away from God is because they are judged & looked down on, & that is just plain wrong. All Christians struggle with sin, & no sin is any worse than another. But the good news is God loves us regardless, unconditionally. God bless you, Kirk, & I'll be praying for you!

Kirk I saw part of the DayStar program last night. I was so impressed with you that I know there is still hope for one of my grandsons. God is so good and a loving God. I'll never give up hope after hearing part of your testimony. I thought I heard there was a place where your testimony could be read however, I must have looked over it. I'll be praying for you and I never loose hope for those that have strayed so far away in my family. I covet your prayers also.

I saw you on a gospel show tonight on Daystart network. I missed the first few minutes of the show so I didn't hear that part. I got the website you mentioned & just read your testimony. I met you once at a Gospel Concert. I had seen you many years before and enjoyed your singing. I had heard that you had a problem with same sex, but did not hear or read all that you said was broadcast about you. I decided that what I was told about you would not be shared by me. I'm sorry that I did not pray for you as I should have. I'm sure I did pray for you, but not to the extent that you needed. I will be praying for you now. I know that God has a reason for everything that we go through & he will bring us through if we just hold on to him. Tonight as you sang, I could feel the Holy Spirit minister to me. I minister in the jails & prisons where same sex problems are prevalent. I have jail in the morning & needed a touch from the Lord. I thank you for continuing with your testimony, but each time you do, I know that it is one more blow to satan who can not hold you down. He tries to keep us down by shame, but each time you speak out releases you a little more. Thank Him for His Grace. It is sufficient for you!

I came across an interview you were doing on Daystar tonight. I didn't catch all of it, but enough to know life has done its work-given you problems. I had lost track of you over the years--our church as gone to more "modern" music. Southern gospel has always been my love, especially the Cathedals. I have followed you from there on until after the Talley Trio quit for awhile. You have always held a special place in my heart--there is no one I would rather hear sing, unless it is George Yontz :) Can't ever decide between a tenor or a bass. We all have problems in our lives. What makes a man or a woman is that they let God be God and turn their lives and problems over to Him for solution. He's coming again to take us home - we must be ready. How I would love to hear you sing in Oklahoma City!! Oh, by the way-if you get near that Pentecostal experience agian, jump on it!! The Holy Ghost infilling is God's power to help us overcome and go on, as well as such a blessing! God be with you my brother!

My sister saw you at Christ Temple and told me of your testimony. I had read it on your website when you started on this hard journey, but to hear her tell me again brought your pain back to me. I sure don't understand why you had to go thru all this. I know you have helped many, but you still have endured so much. Someday it will be worth it all. I pray for you and your happiness

I just finished watching you via the internet at Christ Temple in Huntington WV, I've been worshiping with them via the internet since the beginning of the year. I was so excited when I heard you were going to be speaking, I wouldn't of missed it for the world. For 55 years I've dealt with every type of "ality and ism" that the devil could drum up, bisesuality, homosexuality, transvistism, transsexualism, to the point where I was planning on having Sex Reassignment Surgery. I grew up in the Church but left it when I was in my late teens, however, I NEVER forgot the fact that God could and would, heal, save and deliver. I struggled with alcohol and drug abuse for years, tried suicide a few times, on and on and on. Then in 2003 I came to the realization that the REAL thing that was missing in my life was GOD, in 2004 I was diagnosed with Cancer, underwent treatment and by God's GRACE and MERCY I was cured. Since then I've turned my life completly over to God, praying constantly for him to remove EVERYTHING from me that is NOT acceptable in his sight. I've lived my life as a female for the last 30 years and through studying the WORD both written and spoken I came to the realization that the MAIN thing that is keeping me for GOD is the lie that I've been living. In early March I'm going into the hospital to have a bilateral mastectomy to remove the breats that I developed through years and years of estrogen therapy and some cosmetic enhancement. My prayer is that God will be patient with me while I'm turing my life around. It's hard to undo 35 years of distruction, but I have faith that God will see me safely through. After surgery and once I'm back on my feet I plan on relocating to a different part of the country where no one knows about my past and FINALLY life the life that GOD intended me to. Thank you so much for being at Christ Temple today, yous testimony was such a blessing and it's so nice to hear you sing again. I've been a fan of Gospel Music my whole life as well as a huge fan of the Gaither Homecoming Familyl. God Bless You.

Kirk, I have missed you and wondered what was going on with you. I saw you a couple of years ago @ Grace Weslyan in Shelbyville, In. Many years ago, I saw the Talley's 2 Westside Church of the Nazarene in Indpls. I was deeply touched by the song Past Your past and the story of the young lady you wrote it for. I have struggled for years with my past and didn't understand how the abuse I suffered as a child kept influencing my life as an adult and the behaviors I had. At 42 years of age I finally hit rock bottom and began counceling with a christian councelor who God has used to help me get past my past. Thank you for your honesty, and I know God will continue to heal and restore your ministry. He has given you this talent of touching souls through your music and He has great plans for it. Thanks again for sharing--you're in my prayers and can't wait to see you next time you're in the area of Indy or Shelbyville. Cindy Day

Hey Kirk! Its been awhile. By the sounds of it, your doing great. Here's one for ya. Do you remember acouple of years ago we (Highest Honor/New destiny) we were doing a program together and I left my cell phone on the piano and it rang and you answerd it? Alls I keep laughing about is you saying " This is Kirk! Kirk Talley! Im singing a concert! Right in the middle of your program. What made it funny was that it was my bass singer calling me and when you answered it he thought I was pretending to be you! Who said Christians can't have fun! Love ya, Keep in touch! Keith

Kirk I am praying for you and I know you will overcome. It is impressive to see the support of colleages like Nathan Widener who in my opionion is the strongest baritone ever to grace a southern gospel stage, and what a gentlemen to step up and stand with you. I am sure others have as well but this one caught my attention.

To Don and Jeannie Surely you don't believe the media hype about Ted Haggard being completely heterosexual? I had to laugh at your comment on Kirk Talley's website. If he were completely heterosexual, he would have never met a gay prostitute over and over again. His team of overseers is trying to cover it all up with the nonsense. My guess would be , they know they can't change him so they are trying to get him to move on to a more secular position, to remove him from their responsibility of trying to change him. They can no more change his sexual identity than they can change the color of his eyes. Only God can do that kind of work. And if, for some reason, God doesn't change him.....we have to love him just the same. I don't buy the press release from his overseers. But, right or wrong, I still support the man, pray for him, and know he is a great man to have built such a church. So he is gay...........still a great man, still he has contributed greatly to the kingdom of God, still he can be used in service of the Church. At least Kirk Talley has been honest about his stuff. He didn't try to cover it up, nor did his team of pastors. They never once said he was "healed", As a matter of fact, I saw Kirk on James Robinson's TV program not long ago, being quite honest, saying he still struggled in this area. I support him for being honest.

I would like to thank you for sharing your tesitmony an Life Today. My son is 14 and has confessed to having same sex attraction. I have used your story to give him hope. I appreciate your honesty regarding your journey. God can miraculously heal but in some cases he wants us to continue to lean on him and his grace working threw us. For some of us there is the daily surrendering to the Lord. He is faithful to finish the work he has started as we yield to him. Thank you for being honest

Having just read a comment about Ted Haggard's supposed transformation, I had to laugh out loud. If he is so completely heterosexual why are they shipping him off to another state and suggesting that he go into secular work instead of back in the pulpit. Yes, he has experienced Grace, but if a three week intense counseling session was all it took to change someone from gay to straight, every gay person in the world would be signing up for the three week session. Five years from now, It will be interesting to see what Haggard himself says, instead of what some board of overseers have to say. When will the Church realize that Gay people should be a part of the body of Christ too??? and NO I am not gay.

Kirk, I just wanted to tell you how many times God has used your song "Sometimes the Soldier Cries" in my life over the years to encourage my heart when I am weary of the battle. Time and time again, your song comes to mind and when I listen, I cry, I sing and I am refreshed. I know you have your own battles to fight, but know that God is using you and that I pray for you when God puts you on my heart.

Glory be to GOD,,,,,,,Kirk,,,,as I read about the wonderful saving grace Bro Ted Haggard experienced through a three week intensive counseling in his life, I am holding on firmly to the hope that you may consider the same coarse of action. As he has now completely turned from his same sex attraction and again will no doubt be in service to our Lord, I pray you also may embark on such marvelous three week intensive experiences, and remove from you such a heavy bothersome worry of the same sex attraction you endure every day of your life. Peace be to you as you work through this

You were program was exceptional at Philadelphia, MS. Have seen you before and you are always a top performer. I was amazed at the way you handled your tape track problem. Just kept on doing what you do, pleasing the people. I now understand your song "Judge not, lest you be judged". We all have inner struggles, but most suffer without sharing. Thanks for your honesty. Kirk, I have followed your music since my husband first introduced me to southern gospel music. Our family use to get GTC (Gospel Television Channel) and I couldn't wait for your show to be on. You use to have such great singers on such as Ricky Scaggs, The Kingdom Heirs (some of our favorites). My husband and I have 3 children (now 19, 17 and 15). They have grown up on southern gospel music and all 3 have a true love for it. I am so glad. Our oldest child was born with multiple heart defects and has undergone 6 open heart surgeries. During this time is when your show was airing and I use to pray for our daughter every time I heard you sing 'Serenaded by Angels'. When she went into her 3rd surgery, as a 10 month old, I cried like a baby. When I handed her over to the OR nurse, I remember hearing the words to your song and literally, seeing my child being held in the palm of God's hand. I knew God would take care of her. That surgery was 14 hours long. Today she is doing well. You are coming to Christ Temple Church on Feb. 18th. That is not my home church, however I found out about you being there when my husband and I went to see Mark Lowry there this week. I will be there to see you on Feb. 18th. I hope to bring my 2 daughters. I am so excited to here your testimony and to hear you sing. If you can, would you please sing 'Serenaded by Angels'. I would be very blessed. Thank you, and I will continue to pray for your daily journey with the Lord.

just got home from the W F C A concert in Philadelphia Ms. Had a great time. We missed you while you were going through all your heartbreak. We are sorry that you had to go through this and pray that you can be used to help others who struggle. Trust in God and seek His will And He will direct your path. God knows who You are and what you can become. I love the song you sang tonight about God knowing us. Its like I know who you are because you were on the stage, but you don't know who I am because I was just a person in one of those seats. But praise God He knows me and that's all that matters. We are Praying for you. May God Bless

It's been awhile, as I have been out of the Noni circuit and the Southern Gospel music area, but when our Pastor announced Sunday that you would be coming to our church I was thrilled. (Christ Temple Church, Huntington, WV) You will enjoy our wonderful spirit-filled church as much as they will enjoy your ministry. The Lord has blessed our church and is using our church to do wonderful things for his Kingdom. As he is you. I believe it will be a wonderful experience for all involved!! On behalf of myself and my family we are excited and look so forward to welcoming you. (You might want to throw an extra bottle of Noni Juice in your back pocket). A blessed travel to you and your ministry team.
