Comments too was at Myrtle Beach this weekend and was more blessed by the morning service than all the others! I am very touched by your willingness to stand and proclaim Gods strength and comfort in your life! A few things you said really stuck with me! Accept people where they are and love them where they need to be with Christ and the fact than many of those singers that came across that stage were dealing with their own "strong issues" I travel a lot to hear people sing during the year and know a lot more than I want too! Yet despite all the talk I choose to stand by my friends and support their ministries! You see, I know they are human and I myself am not perfect!

CommentsMr. Talley, I have never heard you sing, I regret to say but hope to rectify that in the near future. I ran across your name when I voted for the 2006 Diamond Awards. I noticed your name appeared quite often and I was curious about you. I went to you web site which, by the way, I enjoyed very much. It's a wonderful site--well done, artistic, with lots of things to offer. I applaud your honesty and will be praying for you as you struggle each day to do God's will. We all have our crosses to bear and mine, of course, is different than yours. I cannot and will not judge you but wish you the very best God has to offer and hope to hear you sing very soon. God Bless and Keep You.

CommentsI heard you this morning in Myrtle Beach. I have been at Singing In the Sun all week, and I can honestly say, I was more blessed this morning as you sang than any time at the beach. I left the concert hall wondering what you had been through. So I came home and found your testimony on your website. I understand your pain and your fight. I have more admiration for you now more than ever. The biggest percent of that audience today has no idea what a real fight is. Just the fact that you were on that stage today was a victory. And I appreciate how you didn't get into "the issue", you just lifted up Jesus. And it was obvious by the four (yes I counted) standing ovations that you received, that the crowd still loves you, flawed but honest. Good for you!

CommentsHi Kirk,
I keep checking your website and have been concerned that we haven't
heard from you in awhile. I hope all is well with you. I appreciate you
for your honesty and willingness to share your testimony wherever you
go. God is definitely using it to reach others who may not be reached
otherwise. I love you and I love your singing. Keep up the good work and
we are praying for you. I am pleased to note that your music is being
played and hope that SG is embracing you once again. Enough of the
shunning already.

CommentsHi Kirk, I was so happy to learn about your web site and to read your
testimony. I am so glad you are so open about your struggles so we can
be praying for and with you.
We saw and heard you sing (and whistle) at Dollywood several times and
enjoyed you so much. You were such a blessing to my husband and I. I
even yelled out one time for you to whistle, and you did.
Please keep on using the talents God has blessed you with and I will be
praying for you. Iris

CommentsAmen Bobby!!
Some think that when we become Christians that all our problems are solved. Well not true our problems are just beginning.
When we become Christians then the devil knows he no longer has us, so he has to fight for us. So we have to stay in the Word and pray in order to know how to fight him off.

CommentsI received this in an email today, and I could identify with it so much I just wanted to share it. If only all the so called "Christians" could realize the truth in these lines there'd be a lot more love in this world.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!

CommentsMy family lived down the street from you in the 80's. You sang at Manley on more than on occasion where we worshiped. Just know that through all these years I have always been thankful for your ministry and looked for your latest work. I am continuing to pray for you and I know that HE will bring you through. I just wanted to encourage you and tell you there are many of us who care and pray for you.

CommentsI was at Open Door in Sherwood, Arkansas on April 2 and heard you and Joyce Martin in the morning worship service. I brought two friends with me and one of which doesn't really go to church anymore. He loved it and is going to invite his friends and family to that church now. Thanks for being someone to look up to when you feel you have no one. Me and my friends were trurly blessed. Keep it up!! Me and my family will be praying with you.

CommentsKirk, I just want you to know I listened to your testimony, and was so blessed by it. Thank you so much for being a true example of how to totally depend on God. And for sharing that testimony, when most would've just hid it away. I hope you know my husband and I are both praying for you. I know that God has a perfect will for us all. God won't open a door that He hasn't qualified you to walk through. Keep the faith!! God Bless.
